I never liked this thing, but my hate for it just keep getting worse everytime I use my Switch. It also affect my use of the console since sometimes I even avoid playing games I like but are not amongst my favourite to keep icons arranged according to my preference. Other times I start and close every game I want to stay near "the top" after I play a game that I don't want up there. It just get more and more annoying as time passes and as I buy and keep more games in my SD card. It is a long time since the last update, I really hope they will do something about this as soon as possible. I know this is not an official Nintendo site and chances are people from Nintendo will never read this post. Is there a place on the net where I can write this hoping that someone at Nintendo will read?

Wow, I don't want to know how often you clean your house
In a way, I agree, the option to organize your games manually was present on 3DS and WiiU and it seems ridiculous not to include it on Switch right from the get go. But on the other hand, this is something so minor, it doesn‘t have any sort of influence on my enjoyment of the console. I‘m just glad the icons of physically owned games remain there unlike with previous Nintendo consoles where only the inserted game icon would show. Gives you a nice and complete look over your collection.

Honestly I haven't had time to worry about icons because I'm still stunned by the lack of a basic web browser, which was included on previous consoles.
I mean really, if they could add that in such a way as the eshop/album/news apps (i.e. doesn't close your open game to run), I'd be all set.

I sent a mail to Nintendo of my country because I don't know Twitter well enough to figure the best way to be noticed by Nintendo (which hashtag should I use? Should I post a message or reply to one of their posts? and so on)
I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee
@LuckyLand I think you perhaps suffer from CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are arranged in alphabetical order as they should be.
So do I I kind of agree, I want to organize it a bit better, but then I remember how grateful I am that the Switch UI is still millions of times better with its bookshelf simplicity than the horrendous unreadable, unnavigable chaos that is the PS4 UI, or the fact that the XBox One uses Metro, taking home the bronze.
@NEStalgia I don't own a PS4 and only tried it once very briefly, but I had a PS Vita. OMG I love Switch interface so much every time I think about how awful and messed up Vita interface was lol
If the interface was better I would probably have kept it to use it as a media player (since I can't use Switch for that), but it was just too ugly and I sold it to buy Nintendo credit to spend on Switch games.
PS3 and PSP interface was so much better
@LuckyLand Vita's interface was actually pretty good by Sony standards..... XMB on PS3 & PSP were very highly regarded. I never liked them that much personally until I saw PS4....that's when I learned to love the XMB
I'd never go so far as to say it causes me to not use the system, but I also am not a fan. Would like to be able to organize the home screen myself and to have folders. The current system was fine at launch, because it felt, and still feels like a very basic but extremely stable OS designed to do exactly one thing for the beginning of the system's life. Closing in on a year, I feel we should have had significant updates.
I like to hope that a major OS overhaul is coming alongside the Online services this year.

It's a bugger but, honestly... the games I play just naturally sort themselves to the top. The ones you play most are the most readily available and the ones you play least are the furthest away.
I'd like to be able to manually arrange them myself but to be honest, what I really want is just folders.

I don't get what the big deal is. How often are you returning to games you already beat? So long as the game I'm currently playing is at the top, which obviously it is, I couldn't care less.
I'm getting really annoyed by this too. I want to be able to put all of my Neo Geo games in a folder in alphabetical order; they are everywhere right now. The lack of folders is getting really old.
