@CanisWolfred Well, at least it looked different, not being 2D sprite based. This looks the same, so it will feel more like the same world than ALBW did I think.

But there's a cow, and what looks like a dungeon, so there's hope.

Nah, I'd say the lack of sprites didn't change the feel of ALBW at all, what did change it up were the new gameplay elements and the way they used that world. That's what I want to see, at least.

@CanisWolfred Thinking about it. If they bring back traditional dungeons with unique bosses, and add in more enemy variety, it would solve most of the issues I had with BOTW.

With that big jewel on the forehead of the corpse/zombie thing did anyone get a Twinrova vibe off them?

Looks like the regular twilight princess/hyrule warriors head crest.

With the unrolled hair it looks even more like the hyrule warriors design.

Thinking about it the pale blue light writing were Twili-ish.

I loved Breath of the Wild, so of course I'd love a sequel. Just as long as it remains open world, which I assume it will, right?

The undead (Ganondorf?) being was really creepy, though. One thing I personally have come to like about recent Zelda titles are the toning down of the horror aspects. This one right off the bat looks more horror oriented. I hope that's just a bad first impression. It's a minor complaint, I'm sure the game will be a blast either way.

Well, the BotW Ganon gang already used the similar twilight princess-like crowns in their designs, so it's becoming clear this is how they envision the Ganondorf of this "universe" looks like.

On a side note, I'm curious who's the owner of this white hand keeping The 'Dorf in place.

I hope they nerf climbing.

It's really interesting what they'll do with this. It's a teaser, so I don't think that automatically means it will be the same world as much as they didn't have a non-BOTW overworld to work with yet. But it also might be which would be interesting. BOTW is one of the few games of its types where with enough changes people would actually be fine with just re-using it.

I mean there's not enough for me to even change my thoughts on what the next BOTW Zelda will be. I assume this will be a Majora's Mask-like take on the game where it takes the previous game and then does weird things and new ideas. And likely will start to put old Zelda things people want into it. That's a safe enough assumption.

I made a reversed version of the BOTW sequel trailer to see if the music was anything special but it doesn't seem to be afaik, the trailer works surprisingly well in reverse though, maybe intentional? Anyway I can't actually share it atm but you can check for yourself with this: https://www.kapwing.com/reverse-video just follow the instructions.

Where's the hype...this looks sikkkk! the remxied tune at the start...omg so creepy...And there resurrecting Ganonodorf! how do you guys not think that is a big deal? you can see the gerudo symbol on his cape/ some cloth that hes lying on . I am so hyped...hopefully this makes it for 2020. Also, it will definitely be a new world. Maybe a smaller, more compact world, but still a new world.

@BongoBongo123 It looks fantastic. I can't wait. But I also can't get excessively excited before I see more footage.

I like what we've seen so far, though.

@Octane No u.

@Octane What do you mean by that? Being able to climb anywhere is one of the most exciting aspects of the game. It's already nerfed by rain every five minutes, anyway. lol

So, in a way, we're going to get to see what BotW might have looked like if it was designed solely with the Switch in mind. The lighting, animations, etc. already look quite a bit better, based on that trailer.

LOVE the horror vibe. I've wanted them to bring it back for a while now. I liked how genuinely scary certain sections of the N64 games were.

Oh, and Zelda should keep her hair short. She looks great.

After how much Breath of the Wild sold and its reception, this seemed like a no-brainer. Due to the fact that it will re-use some assets, I think a 2020-2021 release date is a given.

This will likely be a Day 1 purchase for me after how phenomenal Breath of the Wild was.

This is very very good. Being able to reuse and base this off of BotW means that this game will likely be more focused and improving upon the set mechanics. BotW set a great basis, so this is super exciting.
