I love the whole concept: ..they can be used as motion controllers - so my Nan can use them! ..they can be used as separate controllers - so my friend can use one! ..and they can be used together to form one very complex controller! - BRILLIANT! ..and I love the way they feel in any configuration too: they're great with one in each hand, they're feel nice in a grip - and they're surprisingly comfortable when held sideways as individual controllers (especially with those little grip things slipped on!)
I went for the Neon Blue/Neon Red combo myself - I think they look great, the colours really pop! ..it reminds me of having an N64 as a kid (which is still going strong!) - the console itself was standard black(ish), but coloured controller combinations add a bit of character
I'll double my Joy once they start to bring out a few more colours/styles ..I think that Neon Yellow and Neon Green could be cool (P1: Blue, P2: Red, P3: Yellow, P4: Green - kinda works, right?) - I'd love an Atomic Purple Joy-Con to match my favoured N64 controller too!
...the mock-up's of NES/SNES/GameCube controllers have really whet my appetite too! ..these have to happen don't they?! ..a left Joy-Con with a proper D-Pad for single player sessions? ..a GameCube controller with analog triggers perhaps?? They'd be great for Virtual Console!
I think the Neon Yellow looks great on its own but I'm curious to see how it matches with neon red or blue.I imagine the blue could look good together with yellow but red not so much.
I really like the new colour! By the way i love joy-cons. I don't have any problem while using them on my non-charging grip. I don't think i'll ever get a Pro Controller or a charging grip, there's absolutely no need for them, at least to me. I really can see me playing with this little joys in my hands for the entire system life!
