The switch needs to have more third party support. Nintendo is doing great on first party support, but there is a lack of third party games. I would love to see next year's call of duty or madden on switch. So many developers are putting there games on ps4,Xbox one, and pc and leaving the switch out. Look at the upcoming games for next year that have been announced, most of the games are coming to the ps4,Xbox one, and pc. There can be alot more amazing games on switch if developers would just put there games on the console. It would be very easy for larger developers and publishers to bring games to the platform. Thank you for reading this post
Are you kidding? This is Nintendo's best third party support in years! CoD and Madden aren't needed, if the publishers want those on there, they'll do it when sales are much higher.
As for other games, there could be development issues, or as I've already said, they're waiting to see more consistent sales.
Hey, at least we have Capcom, we're getting 19 Mega Man games in 2018, that's insane. Not to mention Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 which from what I've heard are good ports.
And then there's Bethesda, with Skyrim, DOOM and Wolfenstein 2.
I think Nintendo made the right third party choices for the beginning of the Switch, unlike the Wii U, which got CoD at launch and failed.
Madden would be great for sure. You do have to accept though that some multi platform games just won't be released on switch due to limitations of the hardware.
So far 3rd party support has been great. Coming from the non existent Wii U 3rd part support its night and day
I think this guy is trolling. If not, he should realize there is more to 3rd party than COD or Madden. I'd welcome them to the Switch, but the Switch doesn't "need" them. There are plenty of other 3rd party titles jumping on. The more the merrier but we all know it isn't gonna get everything.

"Nintendo is doing great on first party support, but there is a lack of third party games. "
There are A LOT OF Third party & Indie games for Switch right now.
Don't Deny that !
Btw, Great 3rd party games are not just only typical fifa or madden or etc.
Try other games in different genres, as long fit with your taste.
Yeah, I'd think that Nintendo need to adopt a strategic approach to fill specific gaps in the third party lineup that are entirely down to the individual absence of certain AAA games. Maybe just take a look at the ten biggest non-exclusive games for other platforms last year, with some allowances for where Nintendo already has a similar game of their own, and pay whatever it takes to get ports of them. They're not necessarily going to be pretty, or play as well, and they'll probably lose money too but so long as they're good enough, the ability to play them on the go should influence enough buyers for the hardware. Doom and FIFA would be examples of this, so hopefully they're doing it already.
However, if you're looking at the sheer quantity of third party games it's doing just fine, with over 200 out already and a similar amount in production for the next year or so.
@Whitewatermoose While I agree that it would be good to get games like that on the system, the Switch is selling just fine without them. Nintendo has made it clear they are doing their own thing and not basing their success off of other game companies. The whole idea of the Switch was to be something different than Xbone and PS4 which, while very fine devices, are essentially the same product. Nintendo knows they are gonna fail if they try introducing a 3rd version of a product already on the market.

Call me crazy, but I can't remember the last time I was anticipating this many third-party games on a Nintendo system. There's like 20 of those games I want in my collection already, when it hasn't even been a year since the console launched, and I'm only talking about retail stuff. I'm not even counting Mario + Rabbids because it has Mario on the cover.
The more AAA games you have the better off you are, the better off the platform is.
I don't think anyone is of the opposite mind. That doesn't mean, however, that a platform needs those games to be successful. Plenty of portables have done just fine without them. And even if the Switch got those, the general gaming public still wouldn't consider the Switch their primary platform for those games, mainly because of its poor online infrastructure and the power gap with its competitors. Same thing that happened to the Wii U, really.
And about selling PS4 numbers: it's been a while since I checked the figures, but I remember the PS4 surpassing the 3DS' lifetime sales just recently. That's after 4 years in the market vs 6 of the 3DS, and the 3DS was never as appealing as the Switch is. It certainly didn't manage to capture this much mindshare. If the 3DS did that well without any (worthwhile) FIFA, Madden or Call of Duty entry, I don't see why the Switch wouldn't be able to do just as well.
But in reply to @Whitewatermoose and his post. What we "need" is high quality ports of third party games, not neccesarily all the games. Yes, the more third party the better, but when you're getting ports such as Fifa what's the point? Fifa sold extremely bad when it released, and dumbed down ports of Madden/COD (Which is already a meme) would sell even worse.

"the general gaming public still wouldn't consider the Switch their primary platform for those games, mainly because of its poor online infrastructure and the power gap with its competitors. "
I CONSIDER Nintendo Switch as Primary Consoles. Instead, I Consider PS4 (Buy later next year) as Secondary consoles, as long i still haven't changed my.mind.
You were Wrong if you thought Switch will be used as Secondary consoles. For me, if the games are released on Both PS4 & Switch, i will Choose Switch version definetely regardless of Power / Price / etc. I Don't Care with PS4 power, that's Meaningless for me.
@Whitewatermoose I don't either, but that's because I don't think the Switch needs to be on every PC/PS4/Xbox adopter's household. There is some overlap between 'both' userbases, but there are also people who are interested on the Switch and not on the other platforms, and vice-versa. All platforms compete for the consumer's time, but the Switch's concept being so radical from its competitors also means it can reach an audience none of the other systems can.
About that last sentence, "varying degrees of quality" is frankly a very nice way to say they're garbage versions. The portable versions of those games only were system-sellers on the PSP (and maybe the GBA in FIFA's case). People certainly didn't buy 3DSs to play those ports, that even FIFA dropped the system back in 2015 is pretty telling.
@Anti-Matter Same here, but I'm talking about the public at large.
