So I got a new SD card for my switch and I went to put it in but it couldn’t read it. After a few tries of taking it out and putting it back in I decided to put the old one back in to verify it’s working and the switch couldn’t read the old one. Any suggestions?
@GhostDog Get some canned air and blow out the slot to make sure it isn't dirty. Do not blow into it with your mouth, even though we all did that sort of thing back in the day, the moisture can cause problems.
You did turn off (not sleep mode) the Switch @GhostDog when you were changing the cards right. I meet someone about 2 - 3 times a month who fries or corrupts their sd card because they didn't turn off their Switch when changing them.
You don't need a computer to format your sd card @Woomy_NNYes. My Pc doesn't even have a place for any Sd cards. All you have to do is turn off your switch put the card in the switch and turn it on. The switch will format the card for you. But your Pc is a good place to test your cards to see if there fake. This is about the 4th forum i've seen like this. Usually it's because they don't turn off their switch before removing or inserting cards. They usually just put it in sleep mode or don't even do that.
