Regarding your pre-order(s) and the addition of a 2nd shipping team

We've failed to clear our backlog at the pace we expected, as in getting your order(s) shipped within our estimated time frames. There are several reasons for this, which are not to be seen as excuses. But we do need to let you all know where we're at.

As we said back in June, we had recently signed a rental contract for a 200+ square meters big warehouse to greatly improve on our turnaround time for handling the games and shipping them out to you. The reason back then, that's very much the same reason as of now, is that we are running out of space in our "fulfillment house".

This "fulfillment house" is basically just an apartment within a residential building where all of your games are being picked and packed. Due to the nature of this facility, there are not any room for more people that are currently working overtime every day to get your games sent to you as soon as possible.

Back in June, we said that we would move into this facility in August/September. Well... as the new facility is still not made in order for our needs, this won't happen until sometime before the holidays at the very soonest. We promised that we will do our best to reduce shipping times in the future and moving into this much-needed shipping facility is yet another very important step to achieve this. You deserve to get your games much swifter than what we've managed during the past year.

Please bear with us as we do our very best given the circumstances we've put ourselves in. We have more games to ship than ever before in the history of Strictly Limited, and while it is a pleasant problem, it was never intended to impact the community having to wait longer for their games to arrive.

Besides continuing sending orders from our in-house team, we'll also hire an external fulfillment center starting November.

In addition to that we will be doing our best to provide you with the latest news and happenings from inside Strictly Limited Games, as well as post pictures more frequently via our social media channels so you can see what's going on every week.

IN-HOUSE S&H TEAM

Regarding the Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors Collector's Editions; we've now shipped out all orders possible at this time. Please note - due to the nature of pre-orders, Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors orders that are bundled together with some of our later releases are not ready to be shipped just yet.

Ultracore - Genesis / Mega Drive
Next up is orders containing Ultracore for the Genesis / Mega Drive. Please, expect a shipping notification during the latter half of November.

Regarding the upcoming announcement for November

Our pre-order for November will not be given a western physical retail release. It will only be avaliable through our website. Going forward, we'll return more to our roots of publishing games that would otherwise not get a physical edition. We will also continue our localization to English efforts, if we do find a game that warrants such a treatment.

For the latest status estimates regarding all other games, please see our manufacture updates page that will be updated as soon as we have new information to share on your pre-order(s).

We cannot stress how sorry we are, letting you down in regards to the shipping estimates of your pre-order(s). We do hope that you will look forward to a far more swift S&H in the future. We do know that we are.

P.P.S. - Darius Cozmic Collection via SLG. Simply...amazing. But $155 + shipping to keep the SLG CE collection complete? Ouch. Nevermind the fact that we can expect the Space Invaders Collection to get a similar treatment sometime next year.

Alien: Isolation's file size of 17GB will probably disqualify it for a physical release.

I doubt Sega would eat the cost of a 32GB cartridge.

Would you pay $50 ($60 possibly) for a physical copy of Alien: Isolation on Switch?

That's certainly news to me. Thanks for that, Miadaskate. Unfortunately, this new boutique publisher doesn't support Paypal yet. Their FAQ page mentions that they're hoping to make that payment option available sometime next year. Until then, I'll have to pass.

Shop4 has created a page for AO Tennis 2. The publisher is BigBen, so naturally I assume this is just a reskin of World Tennis Tour. BigBen is still my least favorite publisher in the business. I usually disregard their releases, but collectors gotta collect.

The Gardens Between goes on sale on Thanksgiving (next Thursday). This is technically their December release. Wish they would wait another week, honestly. Between family and plans for Black Friday shopping, I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to worry about limited games next week.

The collector’s edition looks big! 2,000 copies only.

Between 11/24 through 11/29 we're now up to eight preorders opening. SLG x1, LRG x4, SRG x3. I really hope FPG doesn't open preorders for their next triple pack next week as well.

Shop4 has created a page for a Galak-Z & Skulls of the Shogun double pack. I usually don't care for the publisher, Maximum Games, and their game selection. But both of these games are solid choices. Maybe the best-reviewed games Maximum Games have released physically to date.

Divinity Original Sin II via LRG, preorders open on December 6th.

Capcom continues to be equally accommodating and frustrating as a triple pack for DMC is revealed. DMC1 will be on the cartridge while DMC2 and DMC3 will be download codes. So it's cool to have DMC1 on the cartridge (it's the only entry in the series I have nostalgia for), but this will probably upset fans of DMC3 who would've appreciated a physical copy of that game on Switch.

@Magician Wow. Paystation store says DMC HD Collection is 10.36 GB. I'm realizing now, Switch cartridges are so expensive that they can't even put the DMC trilogy on one cartridge, or even two low capacity cartridges.

If Metroid Prime Trilogy is 7.7 GB for Wii U, how confident are we that they can put it on a cart? They should be able to fit it... on an 8GB cart. Right? Logic being, even though cards are rated as having X GB of capacity, actual free space is around 90% of that rated capacity. I mean, it kinda seems possible a Metroid Prime trilogy could come as a cart with download code. And sarcastically, can they afford to put it on a 16 GB cart? I know this may have sounded dumb, but it doesn't sound impossible.

@Woomy_NNYes Well actually it depends. If a company is sure that their products will sell well because it is that GOOD they will put it all on the cartridge without being afraid of losses just like CDPR with the Witcher 3. They are just afraid that this old collection will flop on sales and they will lose money on the cartridges.

I want most companies to use the Limited Run Games approach and let the players place pre-orders that covers the price of the cartridge. And only manufacture as many as are ordered. No loss only profit.

P.P.S. - According to today's Japanese eShop update, ESP Ra.De. will not support English, much to my disappointment. Although it is a shmup (a genre not heavy on text), there are a substantial number of unlockables. That will require menu navigation and more than a basic understanding of the language. So it looks like I'll be skipping the Japanese release, saving $100, and hoping someone releases this physically in the west.
