HELLO ALL
I have just recently been bought a nintendo switch for my birthday and need recomendations on the games i am looking at!
Are there any must have games right now?
Firstly i bought Pokemon Lets GO: Massive pokemon fan who plays Pokemon GO daily. Eagerly anticipating Sword and Shield.
I have £30 Nintendo e shop voucher and was wondering the best use for it, as e-shop games are inflated price i want to know some thoughts on the games i have looked at below!

I am a massive fan of the previous Super Mario Bro's, Mario Kart and Super Mario Party from my Nintendo DS Days!
Please could anyone provide a small review / Pro's + Con's of the following games im looking at purchasing using my £30:
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
Super Mario Maker 2
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Super Mario Party
Super Mario Odessey
Thanks for any help!

LockAndLuke

I've recently just finished Astral Chain and I absolutely adore it, I highly recommend that.

The only game on you're list I've played is Mario Kart 8 Delux. It is the biggest, and most feature rich version of Mario Kart there has ever been, so that is an easy game to recomend.

ARMS is my favorite game on Switch. It's sort of a boxing game, but in some ways feels like an arena shooter. The characters have extendable arms so punches behave kind of like projectiles moreso than fists.

But not a lot of people agree with me about how good ARMS is, so you're probably better off getting Smash Bros. Get ARMS when the price drops below £20.

From your list I've got Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8. I got the Switch for Mario Kart 8, but the rest of the games on your list weren't out yet. Mario Odyssey is revolutionary, a joy to play.

Hours played:
Mario Kart 8 210hrs
Mario Odyssey 60hrs

Mario Odyssey is amazing game even after completing the story there is still loads to do collecting all the moons. Mario 8 Deluxe is also very good but its better as a multiplayer experience.

wii u deluxe is boring in my opinion

From that list, I would go for Odyssey. You'll get an insane number of hours from it, the exploration and platforming are incredibly tight, and out of that whole list, it's the only truly brand-new game.

SMBU is admittedly one of my favorite platformers of all time, but it is basically just a port of the Wii U version, so I don't know if you've already played that. If you haven't and you prefer 2D Mario, then go for that over Odyssey.

Magician

Mario Odyssey is my default recommendation for all Switch owners. He's the mascot, and Odyssey is the fourth best 3D Mario game ever (I still rate 64 and the Galaxy games higher). Even though Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite Switch exclusive, platforming games are fun for all ages and skill levels. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the easy second choice, it's the best selling Nintendo franchise for a reason.
