It's noteworthy that some themes have 3 enemy wheels and some have 4. At least that's what the frist trailer is showing.
I hope it's just a beta. It would be disappointing if you could not transfer everything over from one theme to another with just one click. I want those 3D World enemies in 8 bit

Do you remember when the original game was announced? Yeah we barely knew anything aside from it being Super Mario Bros. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 I don' t remember much, but when I saw the first trailer for Super Mario Maker 1, I jumped out of my seat and knew the Wii U was worth every penny.
I assume SMM2 is the reason why Nintendo quickly abandoned updates for SMM1.
They have planned it all along, shortly after the release of the original.
@SKTTR I figured it was just a general case of all focus going to Switch, not necessarily because of specific games existing on Switch. Wii U was quite the desert after June 2016.
I think a feature that should be in the game is the ability to make playlists so you can put all your tribute and mystery mushrooms in one area and the traditional levels you make in one.
For any US people both Walmart and Amazon have preorder pages up showing price of around $55. Amazon is a buck cheaper with the coupon on the page. Not huge but every dollar counts!!
@BalloonFighter I don't think the online subscription will be needed for sharing your levels and playing other people's levels as you're not directly playing with others online.

I think Nintendo supports their games with DLC for about a year before moving on, dunno about Xenoblade 2 or Splatoon 2, but didn't their big DLC show up around a year or something?

From my experience, when updates and DLC stop, then a new game is in the works. Happened to Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Smash, and now Mario Maker.
The same appears to be happening to Zelda: BotW. It's likely we get a sequel, much like Majora's Mask back then.
Honestly, the only way I can see myself buying this game is if they remove the timer. There are so many more possibilities for level creation if you aren't being restricted by a pesky timer.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

You will only buy Super Mario Maker 2 when it stops being a Mario Maker game?
Well looks like you'll never get it as the timer is core to what a 2D Mario game is.

Because surely, Nintendo giving the creator the ability to set their own timer (Or remove it) would be out of the question.
