I notice the color palette of the NSO version is not as nice as the ACA version, but there seems to be more lag with wireless controls in the ACA version...
Arcade Cabinet Archive, I'm assuming. As for the differences graphics wise, the arcade version naturally would have a richer color palette then the NES version of the game. Arcade cabinets were a lot more powerful then home consoles of the time. The NES had a limited color palette to begin with.
I assume the NSO version is easier (like the US and EU NES version) and supports save states right? In that case, I'll definitely prefer that one. The VS. version seemed a bit to difficult now that I'm used to NSMB.
@toiletduck The NSO version is the original NES game with all it's flaws and limitations. Those flaws and limitations didn't stop it from being a great game, and even by today's standards it's a good game. It's challenging, which is pretty standard for NES games, without being overwhelming.
Super Mario Vs, the arcade cabinet, on the other hand had the difficulty ramped up because it was an arcade game. It's mostly the same game, but the platforming and enemy placements are mixed up to increase how hard the game is.
