You can turn the COM off. During the player selection, after player 1 pick their characters and everybody join in then you start setting up COM to none. We play six players matches without computers. But I don't blame you for not finding out since there are literally no instruction for this game.

Hey guys

I have bomberman and to be honest i haven't spent time playing it that much, zelda is keeping me occupied the whole time. I just wanted to know if you can play with a mate using joy cons that comes with the switch only? I tried it once when i got it but i couldnt figure it out!

@cyrex yeah you should be able to. Try to change joy-cons configuration in the home console menu

If you trying to play 8 players then you need to update your game. I learned that you can't set up the controllers horizontal in the game (you can in the system menu as FGPackers said but the max is four controllers) until you update the game to 1.1 or 1.2 version. After you patch the game you should able to press X on your controllers to set it up into horizontal mode.

I opened the game and i wanted to download the update but the game told me that there is no update available! I will try to check again and see if i can update it

Super Bomberman R is far from the most popular game on the Switch (likely due to the price), but I still enjoy playing quick games of Bomberman here and there. It's a ton of fun; classic Bomberman action. The game's performance has significantly improved since its initial release build, too.

Side note: Zone of the Enders is actually getting represented. While part of me doesn't want to read too much into that, I can't help but hope it's a sign that Konami is considering bringing back the series.

I play online everyday and i could say it's usually dead from 04:00 UTC until 14:00 UTC but it's not a rule because i'm playing it right now. The matchmaking is bad and it also depends on your internet speed. If you would join a game to bring lag, the game will not match you with the others. Today i played free battles (closed room battles) with japaneses guys, despite im not able to find them on league battle (matchmaking issue).

What do you think now that the game is coming to other consoles? It does make sense to me, given how it blew up (hehe) on Switch it only makes sense to get it on as many platforms as possible.

Anyone fancying a game online sometime, give me a holler. I'm keen to go back and get more value (gametime) out of SUPER BOMBERMAN R.

Hi! New user and Switch/3DS/retro handheld collector here!

I just recently bought Super Bomberman R for the Switch and I'm experiencing problems with the Pro Controller when playing the Story Mode while the Switch is docked. The character starts to run by itself, mostly directing the bottom right part of the stage. This is frustrating as the controls are an important part of the gameplay.

I tried to play in handheld mode with the Joycons attached to the Switch and there were no problems at all. So I think it has to do with the Pro Controller. But it works fantastic with all my other games on the system, that's what seems so strange.

Anyone else who has experienced this? Any recommendations? Thanks!

@DTMOF84 Yep. There are a few aesthetic differences though. The big one is that you can play as Masterchief in the Xbox version
