Topic: Stay with the name NX? Yes or No?

I love the name of NX, it's catchy and intriguing, but it's obviously only a codename. I'll probably still end up calling it the NX even when it is revealed simply because I'm too used to calling it that.

I vote yes. It has a really nice ring to it, and truthfully I've known it as NX for so long it'd be weird to call it by any other name.

It's going to be called "Nintendo DUO". There has been a leak from the upcoming press briefing.

Real or not.... the name does make sense, following all the rumours regarding the "duo" nature of the console being both mobile and docked to TV.

At this point I would say keep the name. It is too close to March to have to deal with customer confusion AGAIN over the name of the new system.

Nintendo said they want to improve communication and understanding with their consumers on what their console is and does. So it will probably be called The Video Game System That Plays Video Games ()

I do like the name NX though; I'll be sad if it isn't the actual name of the system.

@Ryu_Niiyama There won't be any confusion. Barely anyone outside of the internet forums knows about the NX. Most people won't know about the system until it hits the store shelves.

Yes, please. I'm sure there are better names out there, but I highly doubt Nintendo will choose one of them. NX reminds me of DS, in that it's name correlates directly with it's main "gimmick" or concept.

I like NX as a name. If not, I hope they create a brand for the home consoles, just like the Handhelds are part of the 3DS or DS family.
Thought, it would be fantastic if they went back to using the "Entertainment system" brand.

@Luna_110 I feel if Nintendo were to use the "Entertainment System" brand in today's world then they'll run into the same trouble Microsoft had with the Xbox One being an "entertainment system", only Nintendo probably won't half the entertainment apps the Xbox One has.

I said the console could be called the Nintendo GO but a name popped into my head yesterday. I wasn't even thinking about the NX at the time. Nebula. We'll know in about 5 minutes what it's called.

I really like Switch. It highlights the main selling point of the system and has limited joking/potty humor potential.
