Topic: StarTropics on Switch

Currently, I'm playing through the original StarTropics, and I can't stop thinking of how great this could be on the Switch using the Breath of the Wild engine. Nintendo could reboot the series with a "remake" of the original (It's been such a while since the last game, so I think it would be best to redo everything and restart the story.) All the dungeons could be totally revamped, along with most of the enemies. Do you think Nintendo should revamp StarTropics, and what can they do to modernize it?

Its a dead IP. Even deader than Ice Climbers, Golden Sun, FZero, Mother etc... I wouldn't expect its return from the grave.

Its creator just retired from Nintendo, to boot, so even tough there was no chance before, there's now no change x eleventy =(

StarTropics - I have completed both games on Wii.

Did Nintendo ever refer to these two games? I can't think of it being represented in anything outside of its two main games for the NES.

Other Nintendo games had cameos in Smash Bros., Tetris, NES Remix, and games like that, but StarTropics was like, completely dead in any form, until it was re-released for Wii VC.

@SKTTR Me neither, really. Nintendo did put it on the NES Classic, but it's box cover wasn't even on the (NES Classic) box.
Does anyone know how the original two did sales wise? What I really wonder is why there was never a game on the SNES, or why Zoda's Revenge was on the NES.
