The local best buy doesn't offer it at all. But information on the benefits are available online. And a 20% discount on $255 worth of merchandise is still not going to bring the total down below $80. Now, if you also used reward points to help pay for it all that's another matter. But just the discount is only 20% according to Best Buy.

Currently digital deluxe is the cheapest option by far though if the physical version fails to sell well there will be a point where physical is the cheaper option, I remember when Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures were ridiculously cheap in stores around 2016 and Starlink figures will probably go the same way except the Switch starter pack.
Bought Starter pack for the Arwing and Fox pilot and beautiful box and retail game.
Bought digitally for convenience and $80 price tag for everything ($67.99 for me, since ALL my eShop credit is purchased during 10% off sales from PayPal Gifts, plus Nintendo's 5% back on eShop, which makes it 15% off total).
A fantastic deal. And the retail starter pack was $75 - 20% = $59.99. Basically came to the price of a normal game. No complaints here.
Good game, too. I'm liking it, although I haven't played much, what with my Monster Hunter Gen Ult addiction, Valkyria Chronicles 1, TWEWY, Warriors Orachi 4 and now Dark Souls all competing with Starlink for time.

@SwitchForce I'm not sure how you keep missing it when I say this, so I'll say it again in bold and italics. I'll even itemize the points I've been making so they are easier to spot. (please note the sarcasm)
1. The local Best Buy in my area does not offer Game Club Unlocked membership, not that it would affect me since I barely shop there personally
2. The benefits of being a Game Club Unlocked member are readily available on the internet if you look.
3. The listed benefits provide a 20% discount on new games
4. It takes a minimum of around a 64% discount for the price of a starter set and the full assortment of physical toys to drop below $80
5. In order to have gotten the game and all the Best Buy available physical toys cheap enough to legitimately claim you paid less then the Digital Deluxe edition due to GCU membership means you also would have spent a minimum of around $3,750 at Best Buy on games within the last six months in order to get enough reward certificates
6. The amount spent listed in point #5 is based on the fact that it takes 1000 reward points for every $20 reward certificate, buying games and game accessories while a GCU member gives you x2 points, and you would need seven $20 reward certificates and one $10 reward certificate (assuming you have Elite reward membership at the moment)
Realized as was typing this up and checking my math that this is Best Buy, so the Gamestop exclusive ship pack wouldn't be available from there either. So redid my calculations on how much of a discount is needed to drop the price of all physical toys down below $80
Does all that explain to you why I'm calling BS on your claims @SwitchForce?
I see you’re addressing @SwitchForce as if he were someone who has some semblance of what he’s talking about.
Based on multiple experiences with the guy, he’s little more than a highly-irritable trash-talker who is usually miles away from the point of the conversation at any given moment.
@SwitchForce@FaeKnight GCU was discontinued last year everywhere. You can only have it if you signed up before that point.
Also, could we not. It’s a Starlink thread. Let’s talk about the game
@Ryzaerian I don’t think I’ve looked at the Nadir ship. I know Pulse is like a drag strip car haha. I’m half expecting a parachute to come out the back when I come out of Overdrive

I love the whole Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Animus genre. I was planning on picking up the Switch version of Dark Souls on day 1.
But then my life spiraled out of control as I became hopelessly addicted to Starlink. So, you know, gonna refrain from new games for a while because Starlink.
Apologies if this has already been pointed out, but for anyone in the UK who hasn't bought this game yet, you should buy it from the US eShop if you can. The standard digital version costs $59.99 (about £45.90) in the US, as opposed to £69.99 from the UK eShop. I've no idea why there's such a big difference.
Is anybody else having trouble getting the physical ships to link? Maybe I'm just not understanding what the menus are telling me, but every time I try to link the ship it's extremely dodgy, like the connection is no good. Putting the ship on the stand until it clicks down makes it go back to the Link Pilot screen. The ship only connects when it is not actually locked into place.
I got it to work once, so now I'm just switching digitally and using my Pro Controller. Which is fine, but I'm worried about what happens when I need to do the weekly "check-in" with the ship, or want to buy a new ship.
Is this how it is for everyone, or should I be returning my game?

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
Even on normal difficulty things can get dicey fast. Go into a fight with the wrong weapons or without thinking of tactics and evasion, and you'll get wrecked. And even during 'easy' fights if you don't maintain situational awareness you can get destroyed quickly. On the other hand, with enough skill and luck you can dance on the knife edge or absolutely ruin a boss with ease.
For example while I was dealing with an Extractor on one planet I got a message that a new Prime had been deployed, which distracted me. At which point the three fire giants and five extractor node cores messed me up badly. With a sliver of health left, I managed to weave through attacks and destroy the extractor. At which point I decided to go after the Prime on that planet now so I could deal with the newly deployed one before it had time to become entrenched. This was a fully powered up Prime since I'd only taken out 3 of 14 extractors so far.
Each phase of the Prime fight went down in seconds due to me lucking into it's exact elemental weakness and having both weapons set up for high damage, high rate of fire, and low energy cost. Thus highly spammable.
Yeah, passed through there a couple times now I think. Really annoying to try using hyperspace to get through. Ya have to weave through the space debris, but also have to dodge the outlaw hyperspace traps. Two mutually exclusive goals at times.
Think outlaws continue to spawn inside that planet husk. I camped at the edge for a good fifteen minutes picking them off and more just keep coming. It’s fantastic haha

In a main campaign quest that consisted of ferrying an object from X to Y, my son accidentally dropped it and now can't find where he dropped it. How do you reset a mission, or is there any way to show where a dropped mission item is located on the world, or at least reset its location?
Mission is "digging deep;" the missing item is the "ore processor." About an hour or so into the game.
