@NaviAndMii God I hate that Blacksmith. He's got nothing to say, charges too much, and takes too long with your tools. He can **** off as far as I'm concerned.
I don't know the answer to your question. Because I haven't done any upgrades. Because the Blacksmith's a ****.
I'm intrigued and want to get this, but how's the chance for a retail release?
And how polished is the Switch version?
I've gotten very cautious, as certain releases I'm very interested in unfortunately have plenty of bugs or can crash (Kingdoms: New Lands, Golf Story, and Butcher may be great games, but I'm hearing they have a number of technical issues) so I hold off buying them until they're patched to an acceptable level (and hopefully brought to retail).
Is Stardew Valley on Switch oozing Nintendo quality or is it riddled by the bad coding plague many games suffer from these days?
@gcunit Haha! I know what you mean! I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and risk an upgrade eventually...
I might hold off until the next change of season, when my seasonal crops will have wilted, so at least I won't have so much to lose - and maybe I can use those days to focus on other projects or something...but if JojaMart ever bring a Blacksmith to town, I'll be only too happy to give them my hard earned coin instead - no matter how sterile and soulless they may be!

My main concern is the controls. They don't seem consistent. I would at least like a controller guide until I get the hang of it.

Stardew is so good... but the fishing is so very, embarrassingly bad. It's so fun to complete the bundles, but to make a sixth of them about fishing... why? If I were a reviewer I would hurt the game for this. It feels just so ruinously awful trying to control the little bar with mashing, 1/6 of the game built around the worst Mario Party minigame imaginable.

I still don’t get why people hate it or find it hard. I have only lost 3 fish and I fish most days, I think it’s great, it’s a fun mini game.
