@Snaplocket
Yep. And like any art, sometimes the artist(s) produce varied results. Sometimes the creative juices are flowing and jiving, and sometimes it's a struggle just to produce something.
What do people think the odds are of that SOM remake for The Switch? To me, it makes perfect sense as it is the starting ground for it. The snes gave birth to Mana (well, Nintendo consoles, as it was GB first) and they even gave the Switch the SOM collection in Japan!
I really do not want to buy it for PC only for it come out for the Switch later on.
@Mana_Knight I'd say chances are pretty decent. It would be weird not to have it on a Nintendo console. But personally, that SoM collection is more interesting since it has Seiken Densetsu 3.
I bet they'll remake 6 after FF7 sells like 15 million units.
They did say in an interview once that they'd listen to the fans as to what to remake next. FF6 would definitely win that poll. 9 is equally as popular but doesn't need a remake as much.
@Dezzy
FF VI Remake will be wonderful.
As long unlike the IOs version.
FF VI with proper 3D rendering = Say Hello to 27 ++ Espers in HD.
Imagine Lakshmi (Starlet), Cait Sith (Stray), Palidor, Tritoch, Crusader, Terrato, etc in HD.
But.... Ooops. Starlet Esper outfits will be censored due to naked in FF VI Japan version.

Likewise. The magic is in the original for me Not actually a fan of the new look or the idea of a remake to be honest...but would have to buy it if it came out regardless.
@Dezzy WTH, is that actually Kefka? If so, that's terrible.
Seems fine to me. I imagine it's quite a hard character to design. I always wondered why bother making him a jester. It seems so unhelpful to the personality. I think nearly everyone thought he was just a comic relief for the first few meetings in the game.
@Dezzy Why was ExDeath (VOID!) a tree? Why did Sephiroth become Birdthulu? Why is Necron even there?
1) Dunno, FF5 is one of the only ones I haven't played.
2) He was trying to become a god. The one big wing probably is supposed to just suggest he's like a fallen angel (although they kinda buggered that up in Crisis Core when they could fly with a single wing).
3) I don't think even the star child from Mass Effect 3 knows. Most FF games have that annoying twist where a new super villain is revealed 2/3 through the story. FF6, FF7 and FF15 are some of the only ones that do the villain right.
1) I don't know either. We never got FF5 here. All I know is Void jokes.
2) Sephiroth is dumb, and don't count Crisis Core or any of that expanded universe stuff, it just complicates and breaks things. People like him for the music after all.
3) Necron isn't even two thirds of the way in. He's literally just there.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4

Yes, he's the worst of this trend by far. Hence the comparison to ME3.
But it's a very common formula in FF games to replace the main villain with someone new completely out of nowhere later in the game. FF6,7 and 15 are notable as being some of the ones ones that don't do this.
FF4 had Zemus, FF8 had Ultimecia, FF9 had Necron, FF10 had Yu Yevon, FF12 had Venat. Necron's the worst of those because he appears later than the others. They're all quite bad for storytelling though.
@Dezzy Necron annoyed me a lot. I can kinda see where they were going, but it boiled down to two simple things:
1. Typical FF big villain monster thing that comes out of nowhere
2. Typical FF crystal BS
It sucks they don't build up villains more often then they do.
