Anyone else been able to confirm this is full cart or download to play? The game ship 9/3/2019 so one has to decide to order or not now. But it would be good to know if all is on cart or not.
@Grumblevolcano and that would means lost funds-I like to know before hand. But checking with Amazon UK to see about this. That means I'll keep my GS order to get the bonus item and a Amazon UK to get full cart game if that is the case.
It's taking over 5 CS at Amazon UK to ask a simple question and then the first one Cancelled my Prime without authorization for no reason. I never was rude or a jerk and I told the next rep that wasn't helpful and if I had not had my email running I would've never saw that coming. This is very poor CS at Amazon UK chat.
CONFIRMED: Amazon UK box art is incorrect. Download is Required I talking to 5 CS before they told me this simple requested question. And they left as fast as they talked to me as well. sheezesssss I didn't give them high remarks survey for not being able to resolve a simple question.
@BruceCM oh so then whom is it really to know we the buying consumers are suppose to know this before we put our money down. Your seemingly shortsightedness isn't being helpful here but just trolling without common sense. Would you buy a car without a engine? This seems to be your way of thinking.
@Magician Even if it's 15GB, it actually can't fit onto a 16GB card. Why? Well, when they speak in game size, it's not actually GB, but GiB. The former is of base 10 (making it easier for us to estimate) whereas for computers, they work off of base 2. 16GB is actually about 14.9GiB, just under the number given. So 15GiB vs 14.9 GiB is already too much for the cart. But, even if it could fit into that cart, they still have to provide space for any FW updates, and that'll likely take up at least a good 1GB/GiB as they have to be able to provide updates that extend all the way from FW 1.0.0.

@Dezzy Maybe it came across wrong. For storage, they state GB (like 16GB for a game cart), but it's not the same as GiB, which is listed for less. If you were to check your Disk Management section of your Windows PC and look at your drives, you'd see that the capacity is not equal to what is advertised. For instance, my laptop has a 256GB NVMe boot drive, but according to Windows, its capacity is only around 238GB. That's because that 238GB is really 238GiB. 1GB is equivilent to (10^9) / (2^30) GiB.
GB and GiB are interchangeable for game sizes, hence why if they state 15GB for a game, it's also 15GiB, but in that case, a 16GB cart that's really 14.9GiB means the game that's 15GiB cannot fully fit onto it.

@Knuckles-Fajita That's not what I mean. The game carts contain the updates to be installed/patched to the system, much like one would see with 3DS, Wii U, and even Wii games that notify to user upon trying to run a game with a lower FW. Each game is built on requiring a certain FW, so the physical games contain the updates up to the required one for the game. Why not just leave those off and have the person connect to the internet for the updates instead? Just think about it.

@Discostew Oh okay that's what you meant. You worded it like it was updates downloaded to the game such as 1.0.0 and so forth.
I get what you mean now. Native firmware updates to the game in event of disparity between production and release, usually to lock out older firmwares.
At the end of the day though, going back to Spyro, I am impressed the game went from 2TBs, to however many GBs on PS4, down to 32, and now 15.

That doesn't make sense. How can they be interchangeable when they mean different things?
I can't believe we still don't know if the 3 games come in the cartridge or not (Europe) lol
Will go with what SwitchForce found out tho and avoid pre-ordering it for now.
SD Cards are always in GiB. A 16 GiB card is equal to 14.9 GB. So since the file sizes for games are always given in GB, not GiB, a 15 GB game cannot fit on a 16 GiB (14.9 GB) card.

Well this at least makes sense. Although SD cards DO advertise as GB not GiB, so there is some deliberate confusion being sown here.
@Woomy_NNYes I'd tell you when my copy arrives, but I just got the message it's been delayed. Which is fine by me, I played Astral Chain literally all weekend and I'm still nowhere near done with that game. I just hope they won't cancel it, I won't get my GCU discount if they do (I'll probably end up waiting until Black Friday for a sale)
We do know 8.7 GB is on cartridge out of 18, so that does suggest that Spyro 1 is playable like on other systems, but that's only for the EU version. The NA version may or may not have a different cartridge size.
