Topic: Splatoon 2 Disconnects

Me, as a Nintendo Switch user, has been disconnected around 20 times on Splatoon 2 as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I always have one bar on the Wi-Fi indicator even when docked. I do know that this console must accept any interference received but I don't get how when a 300 pound console has such rubbish Wi-Fi connectivity. I do have other consoles around the dock but all of my consoles are wired into my router. I already know that I could buy a Wired adapter but I don't really see the point of buying it when you've already spend 300 pound on the console. Honestly, I just want some support on how to fix this rubbish Wi-Fi.

There are so many variables that could be at play here.

What does the system tell you when you go into Internet settings and test your connection?

What's the make/model router being used? Where is the Switch in relation to the Wi-Fi router (and how far)? What band is it on (if it's a multi-band router)? Are you in an environment where there's lots of wireless signals being slung around? Is your Wi-Fi "locked down"? (Lots of people get their Wi-Fi hijacked because they don't secure it with a password and keep it open. This wouldn't necessarily hurt your signal but it would affect your bandwidth, possibly causing disconnects and slowdown.)

@Iacobus The NAT Type is B; and yes there is other people who are using the internet such as myself. My router is only 5GHZ only. My internet is secured. I am using talktalk; the highest package without fiber.

Thers no way around this either you get a USB Ethernet Adapter or not

@T3L3KIN3SIS NAT B isn't bad. Does your router have UPnP enabled and/or IPv6? Does your router have QoS (Quality of Service) enabled with your Switch at highest priority?
