Hello
So few days ago I bought a Nintendo Switch, and I saw that starting september Ninteno Switch Online will be available.
Does this mean that I’ll have to pay to play Splatoon 2 and MK8 Online?
And what else can I get with this subscription?
I think it will be fairly priced whatever it is. If we look at Pokemon bank, they only charge $5 for that online service so hopefully it's a reasonable price for this too.

@Octane
lol Octane, maybe marketing isn't in your blood.
OP, per Nintendo's website, as of now you will also get:
-Classic Game Selection*
Members will have ongoing access to a library of classic games with added online play, such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario.
*Name subject to change.
-Exclusive promotions
Members may receive special member-only price promotions for certain products in Nintendo eShop.
Sooo... pretty similar to the competition, though the "classic games" thing may be not as good as the monthly games Microsoft and Sony do. All depends on what the heck they actually mean, what games they have, how often they rotate, do you get to keep anything, etc.
I have no idea.
But, this year there will be Arena of Valor (AOV), so the Online infrastructure must be good enough to handle Online streaming games like that.
@subpopz
Thanks for posting the pricing and it's pretty good pricing for AUD. Hopefully it is not too basic and has decent features considering it's so cheap!

@Nightmarish Yes, and we don't know the full details yet but there will be some kind of retro game service provided with the online. They have changed their tune a couple times on what this service entails.
