I like to use the Joycons separately, but this means the screen needs to go somewhere. If I'm sitting/slouching/lying down, this really only leaves the bit of sofa next to me, which is too far down and to one side, which I don't like. Ideally I'd like the screen hovering a few inches in front of my face, like what you would get with Gear VR or whatever. Why isn't there this kind of mount for the Switch, even without 3D or VR or whatever?
I think if you rest the switch on your head it will be to heavy and your neck will start to hurt form fatigue quite fast. I am actually opposite from you, i prefer to use the switch with the controllers docked to it.
Yes I remember the "harness" lol. I thought it looked useful, but embarrassing. No use when sitting or lying down though, I'd imagine. I have thought about the weight issue, but that's true of all headsets isn't it? The Switch screen can't be much heavier than PSVR, surely?
For a full grown adult the weight shouldn't be too much of an issue. For a little kid though, I'm sure such a device would give a little kid a neck hernia...
On the other hand: a little kid couldn't care less about its rediculous looks, whereas a grown up would probably be picked upon for showing in public with something looking like that
Maybe Nintendo could make a Labo cinema: a box with a window in it. You lie on the floor with your head in the box and place the Switch face-down over the window.
@itslukec
I believe that is only to hold the Joycon with the camera (I think the screen would DEFINITELY be too heavy for a headmount made only of cardboard lol).
You may buy a harmonica neck holder that is really sturdy, screw a plastic/metal sheet to it and place the Switch between the sheet and the bar that actually clamps the harmonica. I always wanted to do that with a tablet - sort of a neck-mount-music-stand
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

Now I have this image of Pixar's One man band in my head...
