Personally I am a bit relieved and so is my wallet, but I know how some people were hoping they would do the entire catalog. I feel satisfied though, I got every game I wanted on the platform and then some, and getting these games has been a real treat, something I always dreamed of growing up and seeing the absurd prices everything for this platform normally went for. Seems fitting that Samurai Shodown V Special was the final release as it was the final game SNK released for the platform.
As an SNK fan I feel as though Hamster did an awesome job porting as many SNK games as they have. My Switch almost feels like a successor to the NGPC thanks to their efforts. But I imagine SNK wants to extend their partnership with NIS America. Chances are good we'll see every game that Hamster ported being put into more collections, packaged for retail release just like the 40th Anniversary Collection.
Aside from that, I look forward to the Samsho remake arriving next month.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

@HikaruKitsune From what I have seen when it comes to NeoGeo games never say never. While it seems like we have seen the last of the ACA releases there is still a possibility for a WindJammers or Gunlord X type of solo release for cult games they might have missed. Personally I would have loved to have seen Neo Drift Out as well but at least we got a few other racing games.
@Magician Yeah the Switch is definitely the perfect platform to collect these games on, I knew right away how I wanted to get them all on my Switch. The cost is just a drop in the bucket compared to the real deal, I think you can get the entire collection for less than the cost of a single authentic NeoGeo game.
Great collection of games. Still, it's too bad we didn't get SNK vs Capcom, Matrimelee, Rage of the Dragons, Breakers Revenge, Super Dodge Ball, etc. So close to having all the essentials.
@JayJ It was a cool run, but I did find it almost comical how NL felt the need to review almost every one of them. (or maybe it just felt that way to me!)

@shock_trooper, yeah true, Super Dodgeball is one of those games I am hoping will get a Windjammers treatment. Imagine how fun that would be to play it online.
@Heavyarms55, I actually liked how they did that, it reminded me of what this place was like back when they were more consistent about reviewing everything.
@JayJ At that point reviewing everything was easy because there were extreme droughts or slow periods of releasing... But yeah, in a perfect world we'd get a review for everything. The reason the ACA stuff kinda bugged me was because it seemed like all the ACA stuff was getting reviewed, but new releases were sometimes skipped over.

@GrailUK I jumped in here to say just that, but you beat me to it.
There's definitely no official statement concerning ACA conversions coming to a halt, so this topic is perhaps jumping to conclusions a bit too soon.
On a side note: wouldn't mind to see Viewpoint getting a release either, but I also think that chances for that specific title being released, are rather slim.

I hope it doesn’t come to an end. I’ve bought every Neo Geo game they’ve released for the Switch so far, and now have all of my favorites, but I was hoping they’d release the complete library.
Switch is by far the best and most economical Neo Geo player ever made, better than the original console, better than the X, better than anything. After the Switch 2/Pro hits the market I’m planning to use my current Switch as a dedicated Neo Geo machine.
I own the entire Neo Geo ROM library of course and have several ways to play it, but Switch is the best. I hope they keep releasing games for it, I’ll buy them all.
Definitely looking forward to the new Samurai Shodown game too. That’s my favorite fighting game series of all time. Can’t believe they’re about to release a new one after 15 years. Looks dope.
@GrailUK Never say never. Just keep in mind how this topic is pure speculation, I have no way of knowing what is really going on but apparently nobody else really seems to know either. I just think that considering how this is the longest period of time we have gone without a new ACA NeoGeo game, and how the last game they released was the last game SNK released, I wouldn't be surprised if they released everything they could. If they happen to release more in the future I will be very excited to buy those as well, but at this point it is something I am not going to be expecting.
@SuperWeird Yeah I am right there with you. After the very disappointing NeoGeo X that I avoided, having the full ACA collection on my Switch definitely makes this console stand out as by far the best way to play these old games. The original hardware is insanely expensive and you gotta be wealthy enough to own a yacht if you hope to buy a big collection of games for it. The NeoGeo CD has always been a lot more affordable but it has a far more limited selection of games and the console is plagued by early CD player issues (slow loading, bad reliability, ect). I know you can get these ACA games on other consoles but they feel perfectly at home on the Switch, it's just great being able to take them with you on the go, it's sorta what I always wanted my old NeoGeo Pocket to be.
Well, now we are getting weekly arcade archives, I am the happiest camper. Imagine if we still had a virtual console and getting like 1 or 2 games a month! HAhaha, who would want to go back to that?
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
Can only echo the sentiments that having these Neo-Geo games on a Switch has been incredible. I’d really like them to push on and release more from the remaining list of titles in the library but appreciate all the gems we have been fortunate enough to receive.

@GrailUK Yeah I loved the Virtual Console but I think the industry has moved past that. These ACA games are the best thing for classic gaming enthusiasts, all you need is an arcade stick and your Switch is a portable arcade machine.
