The game is now available for preorder on the European store. And they have a standard edition as well.

Oops, in my frenzy to pre-order, I missed that NisaEurope had the Standard Edition to pre-order. Not cheap either at £42 and change inc. postage but that's within what I had budgeted albeit if I'm missing out on the Limited Edition.

Thanks for the info and apologies for my drama earlier, just super excited for this collection and want to support the development by putting my cash down for pre-order but to my mind, things just seem to cost like the maximum company's can get away with - which of course is what business demand but still. Anyway, good day all.

Congrats to those who've pre-ordered - no matter the edition.

Went hunting to see if any more games had been revealed.

I didn't have any luck, but several Asian sites have posted a news piece about this collection over the past day or so. They're saying it will include SNK content from 1979-1989. While I think we all figured the cut-off point was going to be the switch to the Neo Geo in 1990, this does strongly indicate that Ozma Wars, SNK's first game, is going to be included here.

Other than Vanguard from 1981, no other titles from the golden age of arcade gaming have been confirmed. So this is hopefully a good sign that SNK's pre 1985 lineup won't be nearly ignored here (Although most will only care about Vanguard anyways).

Nice, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I've preordered it.

You can get in via Amazon for about $30 if you have prime.

So November it is. The date had been reported as anything from August to December over the past few months. So nice to get a set date. I would have preferred it come out closer to August/Sept but oh well. Can be an early Xmas pressie.

My standard edition pre-order cost £42 and change. Hoping I don't come to regret that if Amazon UK have the standard edition at £30 or something.

I have had the special edition pre-ordered for a while so it is good to see an actual release date for the collection. Now, if only they can share the rest of the games. I am not sure I like the fact in the trailer it says there is over 13 games, as if that's a lot or something. Kinda worried.

I preordered the LE from NIS America a while ago. SNK is one of my all-time favorite console makers and developer (after Nintendo and Sega). So to have these classic SNK arcade titles on the Switch is cool. And I like the addition of Crystalis, that game alone justifies the asking price of this collection.

I just wish this collection included the NES version of Baseball Stars as well.

@FragRed I agree, the 13 game comment is troubling. We may have to hope this sells well enough for a Vol 2 to come along.

I think a second volume would be a tough sell, regardless of how well this first collection sells. Sure there are enough pre-89' SNK games to fill a second volume. But would you spend $30-$40 for Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf? I doubt it.

@Magician Seems like Baseball Stars would be the draw on the potential Vol 2 if it ends up MIA on this collection and a Vol 2 actually happens.

Hopefully Vol 1 has all the games we want. Space wise there should be plenty of room.

Oh that would be a filthy, dirty move.

And yet, I'd insta-buy that second volume if that were the case.
