Is it confirmed that the SNES library will be updated every month (as with NES)? Think I missed that part.
Which games would we like to see?
-also, I can't download the SNES app from the Nintendo store. I have paid NSO (Family subscription). For some reason, I can't choose the "free download" button as it simply skips over it. Anyone else having this problem?
@Bankaj if you haven't found it yet, if you click through to the app page through the switch online page, it should work. I had the same issue and that worked for me for some reason
@ralphdibny thanks for the tip. I looked it up and for some people your advice helps. Unfortunately not for me. I managed now via the Nintendo Eshop through normal webbrowser and started the download there. Will verify when I get home tonight.
Strange glitch which occurs on bigger scale apparently.
I've been thoroughly enjoying it as I knew I would. Together with the Tetris 99 update the value of Switch Online has increased 10 fold since last night. I'll be spending many an hour within the app. I've never played any of these games in handheld before with the exception of Yoshi's Island on GBA and it's an HD handheld at that. By the end of the 2nd year there should be around 80 games on there and possibly another exclusive to go with Tetris 99, that's great value no matter what way you cut it. GBA games are probably up next.
@Bunkerneath Online is just the same as it was with NES, friends only unfortunately. You'd think they could have made an exception with Super Mario Kart though and even F-Zero, I'm sure they'd both be popular enough so that you'd never need to wait long for an opponent.
Firing up BoF 1 for the first time this weekend. I haven't played a game in the series since BoF 4 on PS1. JRPG just isn't a genre I associate with Capcom anymore. So this crusty, almost generic jrpg is interesting to play from that perspective.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

So... we're halfway through October... any guesses when and if we see new SNES games added? I know, that they went away from "monthly" to "whenever we see fit now that you suckers have subscribed for another year".

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

December, and then again in March is my guess, since Nintendo has officially stated that they aren't committed to monthly additions to NSO anymore. Four NES games and four SNES games between now and September 2020 is my assumption. Then Nintendo will add GBA games to NSO to entice folks to re-subscribe for Holiday 2020.

Am I the only one who dislikes the borders/backgrounds on the sides when playing SNES games? I'd prefer if it was just black, or at least an option to turn it off. Couldn't find anyone else on the internets complaining about it though, so maybe it's just me. ^^'

definitely.. literally their was a fill option so it'd stretch to the sides but apparently it doesnt work..
needs fixing, some people dont mind the appearance of it stretched (on pc looks fine)
@Jarester I don't care much for stretching either tbh, but I think having these options is always best, because everyone has different preferences. ^^
@SKTTR I understand it doesn't help much (/at all), just wondered if there were more people here who are bothered by it. Can't you switch the help info off though? I thought they added that "recently", or was that only for NES?
