A new game by Any Arts Productions coming to the Switch (officially confirmed now!).
The game is about a group of survivers, presumable after some sort of catastrophic event. But it could also be set in a completely different world. Don't know! But I'm sure we'll learn more soon, trailer is supposedly coming up later this week.
Take a look at these first screens in high definition:
It certainly looks to have potential, and I look forward to seeing more of it. Be interesting to see how it actually looks and plays in gameplay footage - I'm gonna assume these images are probably not from the game engine that will be playable on release (though hope to be wrong on that).
@gcunit TBF, I posted the best looking screen! If you zoom in, it looks a bit choppy here and there. I think the Switch should be able to run something like this.
@Octane Oh yeah, I'm confident Switch could handle the load, I'm more just cautious due to recent industry practices e.g. Watch_Dogs being hyped with 'game engine' footage that was ultimately dialled back by the time of release.
And a few still images don't tell us much anyway. But I am liking the vibe created - looks like the environment could easily have come from Breath of the Wild, which I like, and I like dogs too. Seems like the game is going to be about us getting really attached to the dog and then that attachment getting tested in some way...
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@KirbyTheVampire Going by an interview they done a couple of years ago, they are huge Nintendo fans and more of all Zelda fans. The dev seems to hint at an exploration Zelda type adventure.
"Huge Zelda fans" is an understatement. If you take a look at their collection, you can see that they own just about every Zelda game in existence. They even have copies of the CD-i Zelda games. http://www.instagram.com/anyartsprod/
And gameblog mentioned that this would be an adventure game, with more info coming next week.
@MumboJumbo Indeed,it's quite a collection.I'm not sure you can really judge how a game will turn out from someone's collection but it definitely gives me faith that there will be a lot of love put into it.Going by the screenshots,I think can see that too.So it's been at least 2 years in the making and it's going to be a Nintendo exclusive.Hopefully Nintendo are supporting them.
@KirbyTheVampire That's what I thought at first too.A 'Journey' type experience,1 boy and his dog on a trek through a magical forest.
@Bunkerneath Apparently the devs didn't have a dev kit when they made that trailer. It was more a concept than a real game. It should be in development I believe, but I don't think it will be out anytime soon.
