Will you just stop with that question, I should be asking the same thing for you buying normal screen protectors. Take better care of your systems and you wouldn't need them.

First time I asked buddy.

Taking better care of the system means to protect it with a screen protector..... Just sayin.

And you never answered the question..

I just hate not being able to see anything when in the car during the day (which happens often). Even when the sun isn't hitting the screen, almost impossible to play Monster Hunter because I can barely make anything out.

I am sorry but I have to ask. How old are you?

And this car thing really confuses me. I use my phone as a gps device everyday. I have zero issues with not being able to see my screen. I don't understand how you can not see your screen inside of a vehicle?? A simple tilt of the device removes any glare. And if it is a brightness issue, well the anti glare protector will actually make it darker.

But on topic, amFilm makes the highest rated Switch screen protector on Amazon. Comes with 2 screen protectors and everything you need to apply it with no issues.

How silly and random a comment asking how old he is.... His life is different so don't judge why he needs anti glare

Also I didn't really like amFilm, lots of bubbles I found... ☺

Not really a silly question. Just curious.

Lots of bubbles with tempered glass? lol

So, I've applied quite a few screen protectors on both my Switches now.

First I applied official $7.99 PDP (think it was PDP?) plastic film just to get something on right away until my glass protectors arrived in the mail. I used the shower method and the hinge method, and I actually got it applied perfectly but I didn't feel safe knowing that it was only plastic. But it was a good screen protector all things considered. Don't know if I could recommend it at $8 considering it only included one in the pack.

Then I got the amFilm tempered glass. Nailed it first try with zero bubbles, and I'm very happy with the quality of this screen protector. Especially now that I have applied a different brand and had something to compare to. However there is one slight negative- the thickness is 0.3mm which is just enough to make it a snug fit in the dock. Some people will see that as a positive but for me it's a little too snug. It almost feels as if the dock is going to lift up with the system. It doesn't, but it feels like almost could if it was just a hair tighter. The cutout size though, its spot on.

For my other Switch, I applied Reteck 0.24mm tempered glass screen protector. Right away I will say this one is the perfect thickness and the system can sit in the dock without the friction seen with the amFilm. However, this screen protector has a negative of its own which is the fact that a few parts of the edges seem to not be sticking 100%, so you can see a few white lines on the edges. We're talking just a few spots which are really tiny and thin and small, and if you press against it it will disappear because it sticks all the way. Maybe this is something that will go away in time as you use the system and put it in the dock repeatedly- that constant pressure will eventually make it adhere all the way, but I'm just speculating. Even if it doesn't go away you can hardly notice it at all unless you're looking for it (because it's literally just a few spots on the bottom edge where the cutouts are). If it weren't for this I would say the screen protector tops amFilm. The cutout size is spot on.

The 3rd tempered glass protectors I got were Pleson 0.24mm. I haven't yet tried one of them but they reviewed very well and I made sure to pick a brand that offered a thinner glass than the amFilm. For the record I have not had any issues with any of my screen protectors peeling up or unnecessary bubbles when applying.

@JaxonH I would never personally go for a plastic screen protector and especially not at that price point. There are have been lots of negatives about amflim, let us know how pleson goes ☺

I wouldn't either, except for the fact I needed some protection stat and wasn't gonna gamble my $300 Switch in the meantime. Some people like plastic though. Even so, I'm willing to bet you could find triple packs for that price.

I think the reason the edges were kind of showing was the fact I had peeled it up from the bottom to get out a spec of dust. The amFilms always shatter a corner on me when I peel up, but maybe this is just the result of that (which means it's much more resistant to peel shatter). Don't have a 3rd Switch to try Pleson on (got backup for Switch revision in a few years) but I feel confident in saying the Reteck is top shelf. I'm thinking that edge was my fault for peeling. And even then it's barely visible. Just a thin white edge line on the side of the glass instead of perfectly clear

I feel that the issue with the side is more user error I agree so it sounds decent, I'm still very happy with mine

Personally I'm a fan of the AmFilm protectors, not only because they are tempered glass but also because of their oleophobic coating, it's a pretty big advantage over some of the other options. I did a review of the AmFilm along with two competitors on my website if you want to take a look.

It seems the amFilm and Orzly protectors are pretty close to the same product. Both tempered glass that also seem to be cut the same in size. Either one of these protectors will do the job just fine. Obviously I chose the amFilm product and it has been a flawless experience so far.

I nailed my AmFilm application first time and the end result is beautiful. I've not found the thickness to be a problem... most people don't even notice it unless I point it out, and I've had no issues docking/undocking.

I doubt you would notice unless you have the thinner next to you xD

Perhaps, but regardless you don't really notice it especially when you're looking at it straight on. You'd have to be pretty OCD to care about seeing it looking at it from the edge.
