Topic: Right Joy Con Issue

Having trouble with my right joy con and wondered if anyone had experience similar or has a fix?

Played with the switch in hand held mode one night last week and then docked it overnight

Went to pick it up the next night and the right joy con wasn’t working and it was greyed out when in hand held mode

I have done the usual trouble shooting (disconnecting and reconnecting etc, but nothing works)

took the joy cons off the switch and whilst all the lights on the left one flash as if trying to sync, on the right joy con I just have one single light constantly on. When I push the little circle button it blinks as if turning off and straight back on

When inserting back to hand held it doesn’t do the vibrate and little white light thing down the side of the screen - but there is obviously power in it...

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

I had mine not working one time, same issue, but then updated it under controller update and it was fine.

Thank you, I’ll give that a try later but pretty sure I have already and it wasn’t syncing with the switch so couldn’t update. I could update the left one fine but the right wasn’t registering

Mine would register as a individual controller if it wasn't connected to the switch.

Ahh mine isn’t - which is making it more strange that it lights up etc still

@Kie4444 Try fully powering off your Switch with the Joy-con attached, then go into controller settings and try sync again. If that doesn't work, do the same again but with the 1 or both Joy- con disconnected. I had an issue with my right Joy-con before and this fixed it for me.
