Topic: Retrieve game progess

Hi im new here. I can't seem to find the right answer/s to my question. I'm selling my console (emergency purposes) and will need to delete everything. I still plan to buy again in the future but i would like to know if I will be able to retrieve my progress? If so, what are the steps i need to do? I don't have a subscription yet but if that would help me with my dilemma, I'm willing to pay for a month's worth of subscription just so I can keep my progress and re-download it once i get a new one. Thanks in advance!

@llopez02 Having an active Nintendo Online subscription is the only way to backup your saves and retrieve them. Some games don't support cloud save, though. (Splatoon, etc).

@AlohaPizzaJack How will i know if my games are supported? Would there be a prompt?

@llopez02 If you open the options on a game from the home menu ("+" button), you should see the "Save Data Cloud" tab.
Supported will say > This is your save data's current backup status.
Not supported will say > This software does not support backup via the Save Data Cloud service.
