Hey all,

I just downloaded the Switch version. HOW THE HELL do you alter the difficulty setting?! I'm no stranger to this game on other platforms, and I can't find it anywhere… Am I missing something glaringly obvious? ;0

Dunno about the specifics of that, but it's worth noting that RE4 was one of the first games that has built-in adaptive difficulty.
The game gets either easier or harder depending on how well you do.
(there might be an explicit difficulty option as well, I dunno)

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Forgive me if I’m wrong... it’s been a while. Doesn’t the game ask you about your attitude towards games at the very start? One answer for hard mode and one answer for normal mode?

they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.

The game is currently on sale for 9,99. I've never played this and I am interested but I wonder: I sometimes read that the remaster has large deadzones on the analog sticks which makes it more difficult to aim. How bad is this really or has it been improved? Is it still possible to play this game on higher difficulties comfortably?

@chipia I've played through the game on Switch and didn't have difficulties. That said, I've also played the game dozens of times on GameCube, Wii, and PS4, so I'm also pretty experienced. But I didn't notice anything wrong with the Switch controls.

Git gud!

It was hard to get used to the controls on Xbox a bit. Is it really better with Switch controls?
