Getting a Switch Lite tomorrow. Was thinking about getting Hyrule Warriors and Smash. Questions about Smash though. I do not do online gaming but I may for this. I have around 25 Mbps will that be good enough? Also I haven't played fighting games in awhile so does it offer a good single player mode? Mainly for training. But is it good enough to keep myself amused in case I do not feel like online matches? Anything about Hyrule Warriors I should know?
@Kori9 I’ve got both. Hyrule Warriors has loads of content, and tons of things if you like to grind for top gear as well. If you’ve played and enjoyed a Warriors game before, you won’t be put off by the revolving gameplay objectives. The in-battle text can be a tad small on the Lite, but I still prefer it on there.
25Mbps is ample for Smash, that’s what I run consistently as well. Note that it is peer-to-peer, though. Sometimes you may end up against folk with poo network, so your mileage may vary. I think there’s a good amount of play, the Classic Mode is semi-themed for each character, as opposed to a random opponent ladder. That being said, there’s no challenge events like there were in Smash WiiU. The main game has a good variety and lots of game history nostalgia.

@HobbitGamer Well I only have played Smash for the N64 and Melee for GC. I have missed quite a bit with Nintendo games. Thanks for the answer. Unless something changes those will be my first 2 games. I have a few back ups in mind. Oh one more thing:
I have seen mixed answers on this. Will digital DLC work on a physical copy? I heard it does for some games but not others. I do not plan on getting the fighters pass right now.
@Kori9 Bear in mind you can't play most Switch games online unless you're subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online. It costs $20 USD per year and also gives you cloud saves and access to a selection of around 40 NES games and 20 SNES games, with more being added occasionally. Whether you think that's worth the admission fee is up to you but you'll need it if you want to play Smash online.
@Dogorilla Yeah I know. Thanks. Also I held off on getting SMASH for now. Maybe next week. I got a Switch lite gray and Hyrule Warriors. This is the first console, well in this case handheld, I bought in around 10 years. Feels nice. Haven't played it yet. Eating a early lunch first.
@StableInvadeel Been playing it. I always have had a rough start at Warriors games at first but I am getting the hang of it. Plus kinda weird not playing on a keyboard. Wish they would make a Empires version of the game.
Hyrule Warriors is a completionsts horror. Is it actually possible to complete it in under 1000 hours?
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is much more than you could ask for in a full price fighting game. The best in the series.
This may be a completely stupid question but I hear 1st party and 3rd party all the time obviously, is there such thing as 2nd party and/or 4th party? Again sorry if that's a stupid question.
Games I'm playing right now:
Tears of the Kingdom - Switch
Interesting necrobump. Anywho, 2nd party games are games that are funded by Nintendo but are contracted and developed outside the network of Nintendo-owned developer subsidiaries. Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 3 would be prime examples.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

@FroZtedFlakerZz Although not that commonly used as a term, normally just lumped in with 1st party, 2nd party usually describes games that aren’t developed by Nintendo, but are funded and published by them. Pokémon, Kirby and Fire Emblem would be the best examples.
