The demo is generous but, there's a ton of content locked out. All you can do is play on medium difficulty against the CPU in the main mode and swap. Which is fun, I've played at least 10 games now, but I want the full game. With Switch, games like this truly shine. Local multiplayer on the spot, 2 Joycon at the ready. And I need other difficulty modes. Idk, plus I like showing support for devs who prioritize Switch, particularly with a physical release. Kudos to them.

@JaxonH I agree there is a generous amount of content on the full version. It's just that personally a free lite version with the 2 best modes (2 I most wanted anyway) will do for now. For this type of game although others will, I wouldn't make much use of multiplayer either local or online.

I still want it one day.

Erm… you can customise the difficulty in both demos (Japanese/English). The sneaky thing about the English-language demo is that you can't play more than 1 round at a time, whereas you can set the game to 3 rounds as a winning condition if you're keen on a longer play session.

I'm enjoying the demo but I'm not sure if I'l pick it up. It's $60 here in Australia and not sure if it's worth the price. Definitely looks like a solid game though.

I also own the Vita Version, but since i don't understand japanese i was never able to enjoy the Story Mode Cutscenes. I got a taste of the english dub from the recently released Demo and i think most of the Voices are fine. Can't wait to finally understand what's going on in the Story

I honestly not sure if I should get this or not, the demo completely satisfies me and I'm not sure the £24 for it will justify the purchase.

I just went crazy and swtiched from digital to physical. Some of these games it's a hard call which version to get. On one hand this is a game I'd just poke at periodically for years digitally. OTOH it's the kind of game that in 6 years I'll be flipping through my carts and thinking "I remember when I got this near launch!"

And I want my keychain swag.

@NEStalgia If there game were significantly cheaper, I'd say digital is better as it's one of those game you find yourself wanting to go back to whenever you least expect this. Over the two years that I had it on the Vita, I'd be sitting there on the train thinking "I'd like a quick game of PPT" only to find I left the cart at home!

Similarly, I've bought it via cart for the Switch, but I plan to pick it up digitally also when the game is later reduced in a sale.

If I can find a physical copy of this I am getting it I think.

@Pigeon yeah that's a good plan, I might pick up digital during a sale at some point. I just couldn't resist the power of keychain swag. It's sad, really, but there it is

I'm going through the same debate on Kart right now. I'd play more digital, and yet it feels like it needs physical. I still have my MK SNES cart after all....

Gonna start this up later when I'm up; it pretty much was a must-buy.

With both this and RMX, I think AIs just love kicking my butt. xD

So the physical version only comes in the collectors pack with the key rings? I've got it preordered in the UK but I can't see anything in the description about any extras.

I think I'll get the digital version. I doubt I'd get much for trade in anyway.

@Pigeon actually. mk8 was suppose to be a launch title but Nintendo wanted to release them throughout the months. Mk8 should have been in the beginning of April.

Ditto! The only thing about switching it up is the cost. I don't get why Puyo Puyo Tetris costs $55 for physical copy but $40 for digital and $40 for PS4...just...grr...I'll still pay it cause I want physical but...grr...idk...

My money is on MK8 this month but July? Oh boy... GIMME DA TETRAMINOS!

@Bender1001 Some will say it's the cost of cartridges, but I don't believe carts cost any meaningful amount more than BD discs. I'm guessing it's just a smaller print (so it cost more) since it's a new console, plus, it's Nintendo fans who will leap for physical, and pay more since it's a new console.

And the keychain swag...not sure PS4 is getting the keychain swag......this is the collectors edition after all!

@BigBadJohn As far as I'm aware, that seems to be the case, though I can't speak for EU? I mean I preordered mine from Best Buy because of GCU, and I didn't see the preorder bonuses for the keychains, etc. listed on the game's site page despite it being listed on other sites and the official tweet, which had me wondering a similar thing. It looks to come in a little thicker, but cardboard-ed package than the typical Switch game.
