As we all know, Nintendo's method of communication via the app is a joke as (unless you're one of the few people that feel otherwise). For those of us that have a PS4, it's honestly not a bad idea to use as means to communicate. What do you all use to talk to friends when you want to have extended online sessions of games?
I mostly still use my PS4 as my communication device. In fact, that's mostly all my PS4 has been since I really love my Switch and spend almost all of my gaming time on that. The PS4 is just my communication device/Netflix machine.
I also use discord to chat with a few friends, or I will sometimes just call them on my cell during gaming sessions.
@SwitchForce How exactly is this trolling? The original poster just wants feedback on what services people use to communicate with friends during online play.

To clarify, I'm talking about when you're trying to have voice chat with your friends..not randoms. After playing PS4 for so many years and getting used to the infrastructure that it's online service has it's just annoying to have to use obtuse ways to voice chat with my friends when Smash Ultimate comes out. I know this is an argument that has been beaten to death but that's the point of this thread, to see what all of you use in order to communicate.
I’ll be using the NSO app for Smash, or just FaceTime. I also don’t like the phrase ‘life hack’. I’m not sure why exactly, maybe because it’s thrown around so much. Or because one of my staff use it in conjunction with terrible ideas.
