So the 12th isn't too far away so who wants to play?

Probable: Splatoon is more than a port

They clearly left a lot on the cutting floor I think we see it on launch day for Switch.

Possible: Animal Crossing Switch

It's not been mentioned in any rumours so far but it's one of Nintendos biggest selling franchises. New Leaf sold huge numbers, it's a long time since it came out and what's the team been working on since?

Happy home designer (trailing new systems for next main game) and Amiibo Party (producing some of the many expensive HD assets they'll need).

More importantly there's an app coming next year. The next game MUST launch around the same time or not too long after.

This one is coming and it's coming in the first year. The only reason I'm calling it possible is because they might not want the audience of the direct to think Switch is a 'casual' console.

Unlikely: Shield style PC streaming

So Switch technically could and it'd be a killer feature to the 'hardcore' crowd but I don't see it.

No Chance: Pascal

It's just not the Nintendo way to use a more expensive chip. They want a low price of entry and I'm convinced they can do all they want with Maxwell.

I really enjoy this type of speculation, very organized and insightful.

I have a YouTube channel you should check out. https://www.youtube.com/user/badattitude3dXrandum?&ab_channel=ShadowForksGames

My favorite Nintendo game is Batman V. Superman

Probable:
It'll become clear what Nintendo have been doing for the last year and a half. Excluding Pokemon there haven't really been any big Nintendo releases since mid 2015. After the January event I think it'll become very clear what they've been working on. In particular I think a new Animal Crossing is very probable.

Possible:
The VC service will expand to new systems. Of course we'll still get the standard VC lineup with NES, SNES and N64. I think they'll also keep the GBA, GB and GBC and I wouldn't be too surprised if they also kept DS and Wii. I think extending to GC is almost inevitable at that point but I wouldn't be too surprised if we also got 3DS on there. 3DS and DS would be clunky but they did put DS games on the Wii U VC. So I think it's possible.

Unlikely:
Streaming games to other devices. I don't think it's impossible but I wouldn't hold my breath either. On this point it's worth remembering that you can already stream games from the PS4 and XBOne to PC. On PC you can stream to other PCs. I'm just not holding my breath. Anyways, the Switch is portable. Why do you need to play Switch games on other screens? It has its own portable screen.

No Chance:
Streaming games to the Switch. Nintendo doesn't want you buying games on PC, they want you buying games on the Switch. Why would they add value to your PC games? Same deal with XBOne and PS4. The only way I could see it happening in any form is if the Switch has some kind of "Wii U GamePad" mode as a kind of pseudo Wii U BC. "The Switch is also a GamePad upgrade". But even then, why? Would anyone care?

Probably: Video games
Possible: Video games
Unlikely: Video games
No Chance: 75% of AAA companies having the slightest clue of how to market to Nintendo's audience instead of just assuming they are the exact same people as the ones making Call of Duty a massive success every year

Non-binary, demiguy, making LPs, still alive

What is the mysterious black square button on the controller for example.

Did we find that out?

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

@Bass_X0 @AlliMeadow Yes. The button captures screenshots that are saved to the 'Album.' Screenshots can then be shared on social media. At some later time, the button will be updated to also capture video. That is all we know, but it doesn't seem there's much more to it that we don't know outside of what the sharing functions will look like.
