@SheldonRandoms
Every Hello Kitty games that i knew and have ever played are Cheap and Fairly Shovelware. There were some Hello Kitty games with Very Annoying Narrator voices during gameplay. It Turned Me Off to buy those Hello Kitty games despite of their cuteness.
Hello Kitty games are usually designed for small children, which is how they usually get away with the cheapness, kids won't know about bad controls or lack of content, they'll be distracted by the pretty colors and catchy tunes.
Hello Kitty Kr-I mean, Hello Kitty Kart 9 was just some mobile game dumped onto the Wii U. It was published by some publisher i've never heard of, so they probably didn't rev up a lot of copies, as they didn't expect it to sell well. Because of this, the game became a collector's item, going for over 100 bucks for an American copy of the game (U.K. one is cheaper for some reason).
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
Considering that games are available digitally these days...will any go up in price? Are there any examples of games from the XB360/PS3 onwards which are particularly expensive these days?
That said - maybe Labo will be worth quite a bit in a few years. Especially a completely untouched one.
Two other games:
-Tales of the tiny planet is as far as I know, only released in Germany.
-The Japanese Switch release of Romance of the three kingdoms is (in my opinion) allready expensive, and will probally be even more expensive when its OOP.
@Kaile what about the Ys8 adventurer edition? I thought it was just the normal copy but it appears to be the day 1 edition. Came with a map and some cards in a foil package.
Sakurai: Which is why I think we should forget about console wars and focus on what’s really important: enjoying the games themselves.
"If we did this (mobile games), Nintendo would cease to be Nintendo." - Iwata
How do you all feel about Gal Gun 2? I know there was the "Free Hugs" edition from RiceDigital that is definitely rare and a completely separate item - but I'm referring to just the standard version. I've never seen it at GameStop or BestBuy - and while Amazon has it, they're all Marketplace sellers.
@TalonMan I can't say for certain, but the European release seems still easily aviable. My guess would be something like Pqube sent out one batch to American stores, realized Nintendo (or whoever actually print cover for the games) made a mistake and are fixing the cover before future shipments.

That would be equally interesting, if that happened to be the case - it would also make that first batch unique (and, of course, more valuable). I guess we'll have to keep an eye on this one, but at this point I think maybe it's safe to add GalGun (NA Version) to the list of potentially valuable Switch games...
European release of Island Flight Simulator reportedly become sought after. Saw a copy once and tempted but didn’t want to spend £30 on a game I knew was crap.
@TalonMan
I forgot Gal Gun but here's my question...wasn't it limited to online only? I'm now debating if we SHOULD include online only? But if we do where do we draw the line? Lost Sphear and Gal Gun would be on the list, but I wouldn't want Retro City Rampage or LRG or SRG included. Thoughts anyone?
I did a quick edit so I know I left out items. However, I felt it necessary to include the region. A game might be common in your area but harder to find in another. Also this should help
with any confusion?
I also say before I add games let's discuss it. We can all toss out ideas, and I'm not saying you are incorrect but I would like to have the best list possible for any current or future collectors. I don't want to possibly help create an artificial inflation simply due to a game being on the list.
Finally to answer something TalonMan pointed out, I say we focus only on games that are currently out. Again, we don't want to jump the gun and create any artificial inflation. We should give it some time to see how the game(s) sell, then we can create some opinion on what we think.

GalGun was absolutely available at retail for a short while (along with the CE exclusive at Rice Digital), and then seemed to vanish. But @tobibra is right - I vaguely remember the story about them screwing up the inside boxart (of course, I haven't opened mine up yet, so I can neither confirm nor deny), but yeah, maybe there is a second print run coming soon ...
Okay, if we do online, then LRG, SRG and Play-Asia get excluded. What about Vblank with Retro City Rampage and Shakedown Hawaii? We know those will be high sought after and have a small release. Lost Sphear would be added to the list unless everyone thinks it won't go up in price too much.
As for GalGun I had no idea it came to retail. I thought due to the nature of the game retailers refused to carry it?
For games to add to the list, anyone want to discuss some games already been mentioned but not on the list?

I would define Lost Sphear as, "uncommon". It's available in all the major regions. And although the initial stock of the physical release in North America sold out, Square-Enix quickly ran additional prints of the game. Anyone today can go to the S-E online store and order a copy.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

This particular one is a bit more tricky, fyi - and you can trust me on this because I did a ton of research on it! Lol!!!
You can get a PAL version of this, relatively easy - it's "uncommon", but I wouldn't call it "rare".
There is a UK version though, that is ABSOLUTELY rare!! This copy has English on the front cover, as opposed to the other version that has two other languages on the cover (German? Italian? Spanish? - I don't speak any of these languages, so I have no idea what the wording is!! Ha! Ha!!)
Anyway - I don't want to over complicate things, but I think at least for this title, it's worth noting this pecularity:
