What I am looking for are:
1) trade backs that get me Escavalier, Accelgor, and Slurpuff that I trained.
2) Tart Apples so I can evolve my own Flapple. I have plenty of spare Sweet Apples to trade for these.
3) Curry using the Sword-specific Bob's Food Tin as the main ingredient. I have plenty of the Shield-specific Bach's to help fill a Sword's Curry Dex.
4) I also have a few Shield-specific pokemon on hand for general trade but can get eggs of what I might be lacking if I know in advance what to prep for.
