Topic: Pinball FX 3

@JRJalapeno I like view 3 for some tables but for others, Son of Zeus especially, I like view 4.I've never felt comfortable using other views.

@JRJalapeno my favorite view is 5 for the specific reason of seeing the inlanes. For me it's the best view to light those lanes. Other then that though if I'm experiencing a lot of frame rate issues or SoZ I opt for the first setting as it tends to hold up better.

Sometimes I hate having too many options. Lol

That reminds me, how do you change viewing settings...and keep it? I think I accidentally changed viewing (I never messed with the options, lol) and ended up liking one of them. I forget which one since it was on accident, but it was like the default only that the camera moved up once the ball was in the back area.

Yeah i see it was an issue on steam too , but they fixed it. I got other tables now and it's still a problem. I thought it was just a free table problem or something. I can't wait to see my friends scores though and try to compete !

@Joeynator3000 You set your preferred view for each table as you play them and it stays on that view for the next time you play. You need to do it for each table though.You select views with X, best to do it before you put the ball into play.

I made a tournament if anyone wants to join. Just go to the far right on the tournament screen and enter spoonytech. That's the easiest way to find it.

I never messed with tournaments, are they always table specific? I only have Portal and Balls of Glory.

@Joeynator3000 Mine is the free table Adventure Land. Anyone can set up a tournament with whatever table you want. You set the amount of time and the rules. Problem is nobody knows unless you announce it somewhere otherwise there's like 100' s to sort through. I couldn't even find mine till I entered my name.

Figures, it would be useless to me since very little friends of mine play this game. (or play games in general...)

@Spoony_Tech I've just joined.

Really like the Castlestorm table. Played a tournament in that earlier with my mate.24 hour 5 minute pinball, no wizard or items.. 36 folk ended up joining. I finished 8th but the top 10 was super tight, a 100k more points and I'd have been 4th.

@OorWullie Castlestorm is really a great table. Don't like the Wild West one as much though. They really need to get all the other tables up and running on the Switch but hopefully they have performance upgrades in handheld in the works first.

@Spoony_Tech What's your favourite from the Universal tables? I've only really spent time on the Jaws table. I played ET but only briefly. My mate loves the BTTF table, said it's his favourite overall table in the whole game.So far I've bought Universal, Iron & Steel,Walking Dead and Portal. I'll buy the Core Collection next.

@OorWullie That's a tough question to answer. If I had to guess now I would lean towards Jaws. All are pretty good though and haven't given either of them the proper time yet either.

I'm tempted by Paranormal and Rome if only because I know I can get the number one scores on those tables lol. I think my Paranormal score on the Wii U is 2 to 3 times higher then the number one on this and my Rome score is not far behind the number one here. The Switch has become the too many games too little time system lol. I've only just got into Mario Odyssey over the past week.

@Spoony_Tech It's annoying that I can't see you on the leaderboards . I was browsing through the leaderboards the other day and saw you in around 30th place on, I think Sorcerers Lair. Are you placed higher on any other tables so far?

Yep too many games, too little time. I've been trying to keep up but my addiction to Rocket League and Enter the Gungeon means my backlog is getting out of control. I've not really been playing Mario Odyssey. I'm wanting to save it for when I get back to Thailand so I can play it on my own TV and pump the volume up without having to worry about disturbing my parents. My nephew is always wanting to play it though and keeps telling me stuff that happens.

@OorWullie Yes I am actually, Adventure Land I was #4 when I first got the score but since fell to #9.

When you can get the Medieval pack. Epic Quest out of the 30 available tables is one of my all time favorites! That table is as rpg as a pinball table can get. You level everything up on that table including the multiballs and it's all permanent across all play throughs.

@Spoony_Tech I've played Epic Quest, love it. I first bought it on Android and then on Wii U . I've sunk countless hours into it. I will buy it again soon for sure but I wasn't a fan of the Excalibur table that comes with it.I didn't play it for very long though, maybe I could get into it if I give it another go.

@OorWullie Excalibur was pretty good on the 3ds as you could hit the cauldron ramp consistently. The Wii U version was darn near impossible and made it frustrating for me so I didn't like it on the U nearly as much as the 3ds. I'm curious if the Switch version improves on that ramp. I should ask on the Zen forums.

Hopefully we get an update a long with the new tables.
