Hey guys! I'm a relatively new player. I play support and I find that often I lose games due to bad team composition.

I was wondering if anyone on here was willing to play overwatch together. Someone of medium / good level but low rank. I'm 2300 of the first rank I think. https://vlc.onl

Also I wanted to ask you how to use vocal chat. I read online that earphones are needed but.... if I play docked the console is way too far from me. Any advice? Have I to stick myself to the television? https://getappvalley.com/

@gomeskiran Get use to it. I have been playing Overwatch since launch off and on and it hasn't changed which is one of my gripes with the game. The fact that no one wants to play the roles needed. The other night I got on a team that was all DPS no tank no healers.

I do find that if you play Quick Matches you actually have to select what role to play and then you only get to select from that hero group. For example if you select healer then you can only select healer characters (Mercy, Ana, Lucio etc.). While this does help make team composition better you still get the occasional idiot playing a healer and as DPS. My biggest problem though with quick play is that most people playing that mode act like the damn game is Call of Duty and are more interested in kills then the objectives. I literally pushed a payload from start to finish by myself not contested from the beginning to the end cause everyone else was busy fighting each other in some corner of the map.

Anyway just my thoughts on the game while it is a great game the fact that nobody wants to play the game correctly is one of the reasons I can only play it every so often.

Is there no role lock on Switch in competitive mode? On PC if you're doing competitive you have to select your role and then you can only choose heroes in that role. Quick match you can still just pick whatever.

But yea, I've played on PC since launch and that was a huge issue why they came up with the role lock. Especially at the lower ranks, people would just pick whatever they wanted; sometimes because they're really bad at anything other than one hero, sometimes literally just to grief their own teammates. Role lock also helped to switch up the meta at the higher ranks.

Just like with most competitive games, things get SO MUCH better if you can climb the ranks and play at higher tiers. People are way more willing to cooperate and actually try. I noticed a big difference once I made plat, and even more so when I made it to diamond. Haven't gotten higher than that, though.

@rallydefault I know on Xbox One cause that's what I play it on is if you go to Quick Play you have to select a mode be it Tank, DPS, or Healer. Once you select that role you can only select those heroes. So if you selected Healer as your role then you can only choose Mercy, Ana, Lucio, Baptiste, Zenyattta, Bridget, and Moria.

Now if you play Arcade mode them you are not required to select a role and under the Arcade mode is a mode called Quick Match Classic which is how Quick Play was before the required role select.

Now I don't know if that's every version or what but as I said that's on the Xbox One version cause thats the console I have been playing Overwatch on as of late.

Interesting. Seems a bit different from PC, then. I primarily play competitive, so I'm used to the role lock, but I'm fairly certain quick match on PC you can still play whatever, but I may be wrong and that may only be in Arcade. I haven't played quick match in a long time, so maybe I'll check on that.
