Topic: Ori dev claims he requested NX dev kit, Nintendo hasn't responded (at least not yet).

Nintendo has said multiple times that they are keeping the NX a secret for awhile. They don't want to just hand out Dev Kits to everyone and then have all the new stuff leaked out. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Why is this news? The problem is that he's assuming it's coming this year and that Nintendo hands out dev kits to every small indie dev that requests one. Developers that have supported Nintendo over the years are more likely to get one first anyway.

@Operationgamer17: Yeah Ori is a great game (I assume you're talking about Ori and the Blind Forest) and I'm sure the devs are going to do more great things, but they're being silly if they think Nintendo's gonna do business with them on anything other than the Wii U or 3DS.

Well I can understand Nintendo not wanting to hand out development kits to everyone who asks for one, especially indie developers. As has been mentioned in earlier comments, Nintendo have said they don't want their hardware being leaked which is something that happens way too often in this industry.

Remember when Xbox One and it's specs were leaked several months before the official reveal? There were pictures and everything, and I think it was an indie developer though I could be wrong.

I applied for a dev kit too. I didn't get a response. Apparently I have to be a developer first >:[
