What games would like to see come to Switch, that aren’t the typical suspects ?

This includes ports, remakes and remasters.
Ones which already exist, and ones which could be developed for Switch.

I would love to see Doom 3 BFG edition ported to Switch.
I’d imagine it would run seamlessly, and It would be class to go through that again handheld.

A Super Mario Sunshine remaster would be awesome too, or 64.
They are even bigger long shots.

What would you like to see ?

Will say it again, Touhou Puppet Dance Perfomance, probably the Yume no Kakera version. Will be willing to buy it since the TPDP is really gooood.

For the others, probably hoping for Fantasy Life (Although I'd rather sequel, but just rereleasing it is ok... I just want more of Fantasy Life style man :')))) )

Maybe something like Monster Rancher 2 too. Man I miss Monster Rancher so much...

The DS is one of my favourite systems, and Radiant Historia one of my favourite rpgs of all time. A new game from that series - with a new standalone plot but using the same battle system, would be amazing, but I doubt it.

Regarding Atlus, another game I really liked on DS was Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2. I didn't play the original but I absolutely loved this game - the story, characters, battle system etc. So addictive. I wish they'd announced Devil Survivor 3 instead of SMT V

I wonder when Etrian Odyssey is coming back?

Fantasy Life is a good shout - played that to death.

Nice topic! My wish would be for some 4X and wargames/historical sims that don't usually get ported to consoles. Now that Civ VI has been ported very successfully to the Switch, I'm hoping that devs like Stardock and Paradox will think again about bringing over games like Galactic Civilizations and Hearts of Iron or Europe Universalis. It doesn't have to be the latest iterations. I would happily settle for GalCiv 2 and HoI 2 or 3.

Those are, honestly, probably never going to happen, as those are smallish companies that are probably perfectly happy with their niche on PC. A slightly more likely possibility would be X-COM. If I had both Civ and X-COM on Switch, I'd be a very happy gamer.

THE SIMS 4 !!
I want that game on Nintendo Switch so bad.

Skies of Arcadia would be nice. I'm interested in playing it but the Gamecube version costs quite a lot second-hand. Same with Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, but those are first-party so not particularly obscure.

Ok then. How about iggys reckin balls 2 for the Switch. Really loved the original on the 64 back in the day. It’s one of the most original games I’ve ever played. Would love a new instalment.

@JasmineDragon on the subject of Paradox I would love love love to see the Victoria series come to Switch. Realistically will never happen because they are dry, historical spreadsheets but man I love it. Was tempted by Realpolitiks but it doesn't seem to have the depth I'd want from a grand strategy game.

The Xbox 360 has a great library worthy of porting I'd put Dragons Dogma at the very too of that list of games to port.

I'd love to see a port, remake, or revival of Rocket Knight Adventures for Nintendo Switch.

I wouldn't mind seeing a more elaborate, HD version of the utterly weird but wonderful Sega Dreamcast title Seaman. I'd dare anyone to play that on their Switch in public without feeling embarrassed...

@Bevinator That's a good suggestion as well. Really enjoyed that game.

@ThanosReXXX I genuinely had nightmares after discovering Seaman on YouTube. An expanded HD version would likely see me off haha.

Ports (not remakes or remasters) of Speedball 2 and Sensible World of Soccer, but with 4 player local and online functionality added.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

Just had to google Seaman as I’d never heard of it.

Brilliant! That fits the obscure brief well. I never owned a Dreamcast so didn’t play this sadly lol @ThanosReXXX

I would like to see virtual console with Game Boy games and N64 games. I would like several last gen games to be ported, like Metal Gear Solid HD collection and Devil May Cry HD collection. I would also like a full remake of Super Mario 64. And a re-imagining of Morrowind, taking the broad strokes, but leaving behind the many flaws of that game.

And most importantly, a port of There's poop in my soup.

@bluemage1989 I couldn't even tell you how much time I've sunk into that game. I found it strangely compelling and entertaining. Must in part also have been because of Leonard Nimoy's voice acting.

@gcunit Speedball 2? I'd second that. One of my favorite games, back in the Commodore Amiga days.

@Bevinator Ah, that's a shame. Not about Seaman, although that truly was something special and obscure, but a shame about the Dreamcast. And it had so many great titles. For the serious console collector, game fan or even the simply curious people, I can still easily recommend getting one.

If you're curious, you should check out MetalJesusRocks his Dreamcast and Dreamcast Hidden Gems videos on YouTube. That ought to give you a good idea about what the console has to offer.

Refurbished ones are still being sold online for anywhere between 50 and 100 bucks, and its more than worth it, especially if you get a series 1 model, which is basically region free, because it can read burnt discs, so all you'd need besides the console itself, is a spindle of empty cd's to burn the games on...

@Bevinator By the way: he also did a pretty extensive video of himself playing Seaman, which is quite entertaining.

I’ll have to check him out. Always fancied a Dreamcast but they came out before I was buying my own consoles and had a job. If I’ve ever got much gaming down time (perhaps final year of Switch) I might treat myself to one. Cheers

The Adventures of Cookie & Cream is my all-time favorite PS2 game, made by From Software of all people with a cartoony artstyle that's very unlike what you'd expect from them now with Dark Souls/other combat-focused games. It's a co-op 3D platformer that has a lot of cool puzzles, awesome level design, and in general is such a riot to play. With the Joy-Cons splitting into two controllers, it's just so perfect for that co-op gameplay.

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
