@DefHalan:
You do realize most console launches mainly consist of 3rd party ports!
Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Xbox One, PS4 launch games were mainly 3rd party ports of existing games.
Very few games were original and unique and the ones that were, were first party games.

Though to be fair Western 3rd parties almost consist of multiplatform titles.

Much of what we know is leaked, it is the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) which normally is credible with leaks and NeoGaf who also confirmed many leaks.
Most systems have their specs locked in ~1 to 1.5 years before the launch, leaving most 3rd parties with ~1 year to make and port games. Internal studios and select 2nd parties and 3rd parties know of the targeted specs and have beta kits 2 years out.
This is the NORM for the industry.
Like I said most 3rd party multiplatform titles are made on PCs then ported to consoles.

If you expect NX to launch with original games from most 3rd parties, then you are going to be horrible disappointed.

The NPD Group defines a core gamer... See Nintendo isn't part of the "hardcore"/core gaming group according to NPD data.

@Xenocity:
That is all rumors. Wii U didn't have specs locked for dev kits until really late. Minor spec changes can happen. I just don't see how the NX release is looking different from the Wii U release.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@DefHalan:
My point was Wii U has the most traditional console release ever for a Nintendo console, better than Xbox One and PS4 saw at their release when it comes to games.
