From the looks of it Ubi has done a great job with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. It is something Nintendo would not have Invested Mario in and it most certainly isn't what people might have expected year ago.
If the game keeps up with the hype and stands tall with success in ratings and sales it might give Nintendo incentive to open up their catalogue to other publishers and developers even more.
What weird and wonderful collaborations would you like to see?
I'll share these three in the form of pictures. These are absolutely not the things I would love to see myself, but things that just popped into my head.
Of course you have to have Dating / Life Sim with Daisy, since she can't catch a break anyhow.
Firaxis gets to make a 4X Civilization offshoot with Mario himself against Bowser. Other playable civilizations will include all sorts of races from Sunshine, Odyssey, Paper Mario and Mario RPG series.
Telltale gets to make a game with Star Fox. Finally we don't have to be ashamed of him.
Seriously, what developer would you like to get shot at Nintendo IP and what should they do with it? Mashup like Rabbids, Spinoff like Hyrule Warriors, something else?
