I haven't played No More Heroes, but that trailer convinced me to try this one. I've heard great things about the franchise.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

For anyone who is on the fence about this game and doesn't mind spoilers from the first one, just read this paragraph from TVTropes:

Breaking the Fourth Wall: The final ranked battle does this impressively, with characters discussing changing the rating of the game and possibly delaying it, including a Take That! against Duke Nukem Forever. The following scene is then literally fast forwarded to avoid that. If you slow down the speed, you can get more detail. The True Ending is even more crazy: Henry comes to Travis and not only reveals that he is Travis's twin brother, but that he's been married to Sylvia for ten years. The revelations are so unbelievable that Travis actually says "That's the craziest poop I ever heard! Why would you bring up something like that at the very last minute of the game?!", to which Henry replies "I would've thought you and the player would at least expect a twist of fate of some kind!" They then proceed to discuss Video Game Tropes and the impossibility of escaping from this particular game for the next few minutes. It's even implied that they both kill each other in battle just to escape the video game they're in, complete with Sylvia joking about how disappointing it is that there won't be a sequel.

Whenever people mention autership in games, this series is the first thing I think of. These games are spicy.

I loved No more heroes 2, but I did not like the first one that much. For sure I will look forward for this one, I hope I will enjoy it as I enjoyed the second. If not I'm sure it will be at least interesting to try it in any case

I never played the first two, but this looks pretty rad and I've heard nothing but good things about the series.

...Isn't this the series where you have to shake the wiimote like you're jacking off to re-charge the beam katana?

Suda51 is a God Developer. This will be good no matter if its indie or not.

Absolutely love the Wii games and have been waiting for a third instalment ever since the second! This looks great. It's definitely my most wanted Switch game right now!

I would love it if we got an updated version of NMH1 and Desperate Struggle on Switch as well. Or at least an updated version of Desperate Struggle and a port of the Ps3/360 version of NMH1.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Yes

It's also the one where you go to the toilet to drop a nice "save". NMH is pure class.

no its not. His games get mediocre reviews. Your comment is overated. Do research on his meta scores before you talk trash.

@Meowpheel @Tsurii Pretty much. Just look at all the people saying they've never played the games. The series is the definition of a niche cult classic.

Killer7 might be a bit better known among older demographics (Capcom five and all that), but I don't think it's the game that comes to most people's minds when mentioning Suda.

Suda fans are rabid and passionate.
Deal with it.
Deal with me.
His games arent perfect. In fact they have flaws but the stories are wild as hell.
Suda51 is the Robert Rodriguez of Video gaming.

Anyways... ive come around to the idea this might be a collection of indie style games Suda-fied. Maybe this is a stepping stone to NMH3...
