I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere else on the forum.
I was curious if anyone has any information about this topic. To the best of my knowledge the retailers the switch has listed on the Nintendo website only had pre-orders available for a few days. This was just after the January announcement. Since I did not pre-order during that time all the retailers now say the switch is 'not available.' I have credit through Gamestop so that is where I will make my purchase.
Does anyone have any information about if any more pre-orders will be available? This seems like a basic question but I can't find information on it anywhere. To the best of my knowledge Nintendo has said nothing. I just want to know if I will be able to have it on march 3rd.
@Elijah_Thomas Yeah, there have been a couple of threads about this already, but I'll change this to the Pre-Order Thread, so that anyone can discuss their pre-orders in this thread.
On topic, launch units are limited to 2 million units worldwide. No word has been given whether more units will be made available for launch and/or if the current available pre-orders are all that's left.
I'm in the USA I was broke when preorders were out for the switch so I couldn't preorder.
I wonder if they will possibly put out more preorders before launch?
I'm not broke now.
@KNIL Most places don't charge for pre-orders until they ship your item. You can also cancel the order right up to the point where they dispatch, so with limited stock items I usually pre-order first and then consider how much I really need/want it later.

Newbe here, i live in a country were NOBODY cares about Nintendo....so i easilly manage to preorder the neon Switch, Zelda BotW Collector's edition, 3 BotW Amiibo and a Pro controller without a single issue. Sometimes live in a country that sucks (gaming speaking) have its advantages ;P

Just been into Game UK to make a change to my pre order and the manager spent half an hour slagging the thing off. None of the games are compelling enough for him, the HD rumble is just a gimmick and all the accessories are expensive. Surely he should be trying to sell the thing rather than putting people off. If I hadn't got all my Switch money on my Game account I'd cancel it and go somewhere else.
@ProjectX1991 generally I've always found the guys in Game to be great and knowledgeable but apparently he'd been to a launch event and was really disappointed. Nothing can dent my excitement for the Switch but I left under a real downer. My preorder currently stands at £510 so he could obviously see I was sold on the product. When he started banging on about the cost of the pro controller I had to just leave.
@Mellor2000 Yeh, report him to Game. He's not doing his employers, Nintendo, or the gaming industry, any favours by dumping on a new system like that while at work. He deserves some heat for it.

@Mellor2000 You should complain.A guy like that will end up talking unwitting parents out of buying one.Guys like that do my head in and I would have told him that to his face.The fact he's the manager makes it even worse.I've had experience myself of an employee in Game questioning what I was buying.It was a good few years ago but I'm pretty sure it was some Wii games I was buying.I can remember he had a smirk on his face when I went to the counter with them and I asked him what was so funny,knowing fine well what he was thinking.I can't remember exactly what he said in response but it was enough for me to go off on one and make him look foolish.PC World is another store with arrogant employees like that.I had 2 of their "PC experts" trying to talk me out of buying a laptop saying another one they have is better,not knowing I had done weeks of research.They couldn't accept I knew more than them,took me over to their computer to prove me wrong and failed miserably.I loved it.It was a very good choice of laptop by me too as it's 7 years old this month and i'm typing this comment on it now.
Can't agree with everyone more! Would be best to email Game with the complaint. Like people say, it's not doing Game, Nintendo or the industry any favours...in fact, it's really really bad and something a gamer/worker, regardless of his personal preference, should not be doing.
