Being as though the Switch is completely portable, how do I play multiplayer on the go if I'm unable to access wifi? Are they offering some sort of ability to connect to data of some sort?
I understand most places offer wifi but obviously all wifi speeds vary and may not be suitable for playing with other people. So I'm just curious if they're offering some sort of alternate solution to access internet capabilities without relying solely on WiFi? For example, if you're in the car.
@Jusm_ they haven't talked about it yet. I suspect that the phone ap you need for voice chat also tethers your phone to the system piggybacking of its wifi as opposed to getting a carrier for the switch.
Aslong as you have a data bundle on your mobile with unlimited internet you can use your phone as a portable hotspot. Otherwise it will just be local wi-fi hotspots and local system linked multiplayer.
What's odd is that there appears to be an aeroplane mode on the switch......... Does this reveal data/SIM support? Who knows
Nintendo does. But if the Switch doesn't have a microphone build in, then I don't see much use in having SIM support. It's likely just to cut off all signals to and from the device.
