Yes, never thought about it but that would be awesome. To be honest though, in my opinion I would rather have a actual F-zero game before a beat-em-up however great it may be. Nintendo just needs to release all the games. XD
@Knighty_IX : Just watched a quick trailer for it and like you said, it would be an interesting product if it could be transformed into a game. If only Nintendo could hear our cries.
@Knighty_IX : I hope that your idea becomes a reality because after watching that gameplay and hearing your thoughts, I would pick that kind of game up in an instant.
Thinking about the possibilities of new IPs, I can't help but wonder what a Nintendo Roguelike would look like. It would probably have cute characters/graphics but how would they tackle the "hardcore" gameplay mechanics?
Also, which studio would be up for it? Retro Studios? 1-UP Studio? Grezzo?
@TearyIsaac My money's on Retro. Out of the studios you mentioned Retro is probably the most successful and most critically acclaimed, so it would make sense for Nintendo to give them the reins for a new IP. Additionally, they're a Western studio and Nintendo is pretty deficient in Western-oriented IPs, so Retro would be the best studio to make a game in that style. Doing so would only increase the Switch's appeal in the west and worldwide. Not to mention that Retro's made hardcore platformers and exploration-based third-person shooters, so given that diverse portfolio I don't think a Roguelike would be impossible for them to do.
I'm sure someone mentioned something like it already, but I'd be down for a semi-causal NFS open world style racing game, but perhaps in a Mario world. Sounds crazy, I know, but I have a feeling that there's potential here.

I don't know what these games will look like but I hope it's something that's actually new and different. Not something that only exists to show off the joycons' capabilities. Arms isn't a bad game, but it isn't something worth seeing new iterations of.
Sushi Striker, Arms and Labor have all been great new IPs and I really hope we see some more in 2018/2019. Id like to see a more 'family friendly' take on Unchartered myself.
