@Anti-Matter Ah I see. Monolith has two teams. One in Tokyo (Xenoblade team), and one in Kyoto. The Kyoto team helps out with various Nintendo games, from Zelda to Pikmin, and Animal Crossing too. They don't develop the games, but just offer help where necessary. I believe this new project is their first game.
With Monolith (hopefully) doing their own thing along with Retro's mystery game, I think we'll be looking at some really awesome jaw-dropping AAA exclusives. So can't wait for their games!

Either way it sounds interesting. A first-party take on a game in medieval times or whatever that's not Fire Emblem is a nice change of pace for Nintendo.

Whatever it is, I hope that it is somehow connected to Baten Kaitos universe. I have no idea why BK:Origins isn't praised more for its gameplay - I find it superior to any turn based RPG. I replayed the game at least 4 times, and I think I'd have fun with it now as well. The great thing about it is that once you get a grip of the cards and combos, you'll breeze through the whole thing in a flash.
Either way, a new Monolith Soft game will be a hit whatever it will be.
