To specify what i want to know.

I need someone to explain to me, how Eshop Gift cards work, it's my birthday today and my Mexican gf wanted to suprise me with a Skyrim pre-load on my Norwegian account, however it doesn't let her save her Mexican bank card, so my question is, can she buy an american gift card or a german gift card and use it on my Norwegian account, or does it need to be a Norwegian gift card?

I think that the eshop cards are still region locked, so an American gift card will only work on an American account, a European card will only work on a European account etc. If she buys a german gift card it will probably work on a Norwegian account.

You can make a second account on Switch where you choose a different region. You could make an American account, so that you can still use American cards.

They are half region locked. Cards only provide local currency. For example an American card will load American dollars which only the American eshop can use. However you can use any eshop on the Switch, you just need to make an account for that region.

Once you download the game you can play it with ANY account on that device. For example I can download games from the Japanese eshop and play them on my American account.

If you got a download code for a specific game, it will be the same way, an American code needs to be redeemed on the American shop, but once you download it, you can play it with any account.

Be very careful about eshop cards. For example I have to buy a gift card from gamestop which has the danish kr to use it on the eshop. If I get any with euros it won't work
