Dear all, I need your help because I'm getting desperate. I tried everything to play online because of some NAT type that i must configure. i followed Nintendo's steps (http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22455/~/troubleshooting-issues-related-to-nat) and nothing worked. Still getting NAT type D, they say i should get A. How should I do this?
I really appreciate your help!
thanks.

Should be something with your router settings you change to open NAT type.

@DTMOF84 contacted my internet provider to change my NAT to A and it worked!

Awesome. Internet issues are a pain. The open NAT is the only thing I’ve ever had to change on my end. It was with Xbox issues.

Had the same issue a couple of weeks ago (and that also suddenly from one minute to the next). I port-forwarded my Switch as described on the Nintendo website, which only worked permanently after the fourth or fifth trial and several days of desperation. Maybe I should call my provider as well?

Nevertheless, I'm glad you got your NAT type fixed.

The Google DNS worked for me on my PS4 which stopped letting me even sign in. I’m still having problems at times playing Mario Kart 8 online with others which can be very frustrating.

This is so weird, i've been stuck with such a problem for years, and the solution you've found by calling your internet provider has never worked for me. Been talking to them like 10 times these past two months.
