Topic: N64 on NX?

Since it the Nintendo 64's 20th Birthday Next year, should they remake the most popular games and fix them like:
Super Mario 64
Donkey Kong 64
Pokemon Snap
Smash Bros 64

And these are on the shop for only $25

Without knowing what the NX is, or when it will be released, it is pretty hard to say it should celebrate the N64's 20th anniversary. If the NX is a Micro-Console that becomes the home of the VC service, the I think they would just release the VC versions without updating them.

I really like that idea, but I personally don't think Nintendo is going to have the NX ready next year. So I think they should do that on Wii U instead.

I understand your wishes (though pointless IMO as they are already fully playable on modern systems), but what's the point in "remaking" a game like Super Smash Bros. when each successive entry in the series is (arguably) superior to any previous releases?

@martinskrtel37: They're still dated and deserve being modernised.

I'm sure we'll just end up getting something on the WiiU. If everything is a lot more terrible than it is now, they may just release like 1-3 N64 games for the VC. If they remade Mario 64 people would be angry it's not Mario Sunshine, the whole Rare vs Microsoft vs Nintendo battle would be brought back up again eternally if they redid DK64, and Smash 64 will never be remade, period. Pkmn Snap = slim chances. Everyone's built up the hype for a game that'll probably never have a sequel or remake.

i like the idea of bringing N64 games to the NX (i however don't think they need remake games like Super Smash Bros 64 when you can already get the stages/Characters, what would the point be of getting stages/Characters in future titles/wii u/3ds version if there just going remake the games that isn't even better then the new one) . but what i hope is that if you own the specific game, that they allowed to get for free/discounted on eshop with out buying it everytime. (i think a good reason why they should not make a remake version of N64 games unless there is something new in them)

I don't think there's a lot of N64 games that need to be fixed that haven't already.

What about the Wii's 10th anniversary or the Gamecube's 15th anniversary?

Of the games that @SuperAndrew2401 mentioned, Donkey Kong 64 is the only one I'd fix because the camera is giving me a headache.

Ugh same. I almost barfed once, which is so weird. Nintendo never makes me sick. Why is this game's camera weird but Banjo doesn't have bad cameras?
