Topic: Mortal Kombat 11 --OT--

@CTmatic Sounds similar to me lol. I'm 37 and grew up with the early MK games in the arcade. My fandom peaked with 3 but dropped them cold after that. Mk11 is my first MK game since 3. Also, i'm pretty crap with all the characters except Jade, had the game since day one and haven't even played half the roster.

As for the dailys, I think you just get coins, which you get way more of (plus other stuff) by doing the towers. I never bothered with them after the first week or so.

Gotcha. Yeah I already finished. I got 100,000 Koins. I’ll take it. Really... So the Dailies aren’t worth it? I thought they would be for sure. Why are Towers better for rewards? In a nut shell. I’m looking for ZERO online play modes for rewards. If it was a FPS/3PS or Action/Adventure then yeah I’ll be awesome but not fighting games. At least for now unless I really practice. So what are my best top options to maximize my rewards while playing alone pretty much (for now). Thanks man. Been a big help with advice and feedback. @C-Chakra

Sounds like we’re 2 peas in a pea pod with MK. 😂 Yeah I’ve bought some past MK’s back on PS3/360 but I traded them in quickly. So MK11 is my first true next MK game I got since the original pretty much as far as I’m concerned. It makes me think back to watching people play back in middle school at the arcade that we’re really good. I was mind blown. And MK11’s fatalities and brutalities are ridiculously amazing. I did both with Jax tonight while grabbing my Daily reward.

@CTmatic definitely the towers are the best way to get rewards. You do need an online connection to do them, but you do them solo. There are towers that you can do co op but I never bothered with them, too much stuffing around for me.

The best way i've found to farm the rewards with the towers is just put your character on AI mode (I use Kabal, with his playstyle tweaked to be as in your face as possible) and let the AI grind it out when you don't feel like playing. You need to press next after each fight but I would just come back every now and then to do it. After a while, you have a stack of stuff. And Kabal with that setting pretty much never loses. That's my lazy arse tip anyway! haha

As for dailys they are good little extras but nothing special. My tip for the dailys is cancel all the ones you can't complete while you're doing the towers (i.e the online modes etc, or characters you don't use). That way you get them done while you're doing the usual stuff.

Just want to say OMG, this is the greatest thing ever (turning on AI). Right now I have Endless Tower on with AI Sub Zero. Getting TONS of rewards like you said while working at home at my desk watching the fights on/off. 😂 @C-Chakra

@CTmatic hehe yea, it works pretty well.. are you doing the "Towers of Time" towers though? Because they are the ones that give you all the rewards like skins, intros, augments etc. (also coins, soul fragments). The standard towers just give you coins or soul fragments I think. "Towers of Time" are the main things to do in mk11, especially the character specific ones you unlock (top left towers), they give you a ton of cosmetics, intros etc. for whichever character you are working on.

For like 5hrs today I had Klassic going because I never finished all 4 Towers of Time tutorials. You get a little more variance of rewards then what you mentioned, still good.

I just finished the tutorials now. So now I have an AI going in T-of-Time. This works so good that I’m truly surprised it’s even an option in the game. I think it’s there just to ease the grind of it all and the developers know that people like you and me will abuse the heck out of it, but it’s a double edged sword because I’m not getting a lick better myself in the game by doing this. 😂 @C-Chakra

Maybe its just been a while since I've played this game. But I bought the DLC on sale today and to me it seems like this game looks worse than it did when it was recently released. The opening scenes for Joker vs Terminator looked so grainy and choppy. Is it just me?

Same here, I just played until the 2nd Season of Kombat League, and got tired after 200 hours of gameplay... anyway I got back again on playing this game due to aftermath features and the 6 DLC characters... I have the feeling that the intro dialogues are more sluggish now than it was recently released... voice overs are not synchronized well with the movements of their mouth... but i think, the combat gameplays are still the same...

Anyway, anyone here playing the game on their switch recently? I just found out this new Ko-op Tower which can't be done solo, so anyone willing to help me unlock/finish the 5-star difficulty Tower? particularly D'vorah's Tower... I'd be willing to exchange friend codes...

I just stopped playing it when the last Kombat League finished. How do we find out when the next Kombat League is starting? I am looking forward to it as I have finally beaten Master rank and grandmaster rank players.

It was on sale for $20. Decided to take the plunge.

I think it's just the base. That should be plenty for me. I am pretty casual.

It's definitely not just you. If you're playing as a character with facial hair it's got this strange blurry/grainy thing going on. I noticed it while playing as bearded Kano. Plus i still can't believe they aren't able to fix the krypt with a patch so it at least looks better than a PS2 game. Have you seen the PS4 version by comparison? It's like night and day! I'll probably still get a PS4 copy so i can have a good looking version.
On switch it's pretty half assed. We're lucky they even got this game running on switch.

Yeah the krypt is pretty bad but hey this is Mortal Kombat 11 running on Switch is 60 FPS who would have thought on handheld hybrid?

So do people reckon the DLC is worth the price? It’s basically the same price of the base game which is putting me off.

$30 during sale?? I think it’s worth it for like $3.33 per character, other fighting games don’t offer this kind of sale, except fighterz i guess.But hey DLC skins I think are also factor here, they look great IMO. And yeah the main game go as low as $20 during sale. But for me, I still enjoy playing without DLC, you can still fight DLC characters offline & online and thats fine with me.

It's bee while since I last played a MK game but the game has slowed down, not that I'm saying it's bad change just that it's not what I remembered.

I was also surprised Lui Kang is now evil!
