Well I recently saw that nintedo switch's joycons are really expensive like on some sales 60€ one of them . So that makes a bit difference to the whole world. If this 2 small joysticks do around 120€ then a controller could be like 200€ .
I recommend lowering the prices of joycons so if anybody lost them or broke must not pay his life savings for just 2 mini controllers. Lastly I have seen on some sales that the pro controller or just a controller of switch is slightly to so much cheaper than 2 joycons so I think you should give it a second thought. I hope you will find a way.

Generally the people who are buying video games aren't the people who are barely eking out a living. Video games are a luxury.

@SMEXIZELDAMAN Hell yea to that man. Video games pack a freaking punch to the wallet. Especially since I got my Nintendo Switch, never realized how much these games cost. Just have to be happy there are indie titles at much more affordable prices.

It's called give and take. Save money to get something. Guess you don't get out much and see what is happening out there. Also called StereoTyping.

Reality check do you think PC, xbox, PS are any cheaper-this is a cheap shot at best. They can't eat codes remember those words. eShop will always be less than Physical but then again your paying to get something eShop can't give you.

Itemized launchday of Switch in America for me:
$300 neon console
$70 pro controller
$80 2nd set of grey joycons
$20 Legend of Zelda sticker set for console/joycons
$30 joycon charging grip
$50 1, 2 Switch
$100 LoZ Breath of the Wild collector's edition with Sheikah slate case, coin, and tapestry. (Least I think it was $100)
Immediately after I got home, I connected to the eshop and bought I am Setsuna $40 and Fast RMX for either $20 or $30.
Later I sold 1, 2 Switch because the family didn't enjoy it so much.
Since then I've bought about 40 games, 10 physical, the rest digital at varying prices.
I missed out on most Wii U games due to tight financial times, but I'm not going to miss anything else videogamewise from now on.
Personal advice: either budget for the Switch or pick up a 2DS for now and enjoy its massive library. Give Switch a couple more years for it to become affordable to your lifestyle.

Couldn't agree more...you can find used NSW but double check for its condition and used Quality. I doubt the price will move from 299.99+tax USD anytime in the future. Just take look at New 3DS XL it's still MSRP 199.99 still so that hasn't changed much since release.

I don't have a lot of money but just save an make it work if it's something you would like. Make sure you're budgeting effectively and make some small savings at the end of the week or month.

When I was younger I would occasionally get some games at Christmas or my Birthday (actually it was one or the other because they're five days apart ) but I would end up with this collection of games that weren't great or I just never got round to playing.

These days with my Switch I less money than ever but I'm actually enjoying myself more than with the Wii U/3DS. Back then I had a backlog of not great games but with Switch I may only have a few games, but they are all really fun and have plenty of content.

I'd say gaming is not a cheap but having less money has actually worked out better for me because I have to optimise my purchasing. My only struggle with the Switch was a Pro Controller (not necessary but my house is not designed for Joy Cons apparently), so I skipped buying any games for 4/5 months to buy one. Luckily FE Warriors, Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey have lots of content!

....also what are people to doing to lose or break their Joy Cons. Just look after your things it saves so much money!

I work and earn a decent living but with a family most games are just too expensive for me. I usually have to wait for birthdays/Xmas/anniversaries/father's Day etc. Since getting a switch I have been able to get a indie nearly every week. I usually check out the sales and if any are on my watch list I snap them up. Sitting on 15 games since November now and couldn't be happier.

@Louloukas If you are paying 60 Euros for a single joy-con, not a set of 2, then you are MASSIVELY OVER PAYING Like I cannot emphasize that enough.
