Roy with Jet Bike, Roller, and Bowser Kite. It worked well for me once so I just stuck with it. I should probably try something new but it's a fairly balanced setup and has managed to get me 3 stars on every cup in all CCs so I don't see a reason to change. Although even if I do decide to switch it up I'll always go for a bike. I find they usually drift much better.
Mii (Medium) - For the awesome PAC-MAN racing suit...stay classy!
Sports Coupe, GLA Tires & Gold Glider - I use the wheel accessory, so I wanted to find a good all-round kart that felt quite natural to drive - and this combination seems to tick a lot of boxes Decent top speed, decent acceleration, feels nice to drive - and makes for quite a stylish little ride too! Love it!
Very close to the setup I used in the Wii U version (just Retro Off-Road tires instead). I know it's kinda boring to basically use the same setup, but it works great for me. I love how it drifts. For a little variety, I sometimes use the Inkstrike and Leaf Tires, or the Mr. Scooty and Sponge tires as well.
Female Villager / Standard Bike / Crimson Slim / Peach Parasol
Basically a handling build, which makes dodging stuff a bit easier and handles 200cc quite well without totally giving up on speed. Although I use it for looks as much as anything, really.
Yes, I have the B Dasher in my avatar, but I dropped that because the high-speed parts in this game have rather bad overall stats.
@Maxz Thanks! All that time spent watching highlight reels and hitting the capture button paid off. Any game with such good screenshot material is going to get a lot of extra play time from me.
This setup is what got me more into Zelda. Before the Zelda DLC dropped I'd played a bit of a few Zelda games but not beaten any. Then I got the DLC and decided to give Link a try-out.
I've never paid attention to the stats of the vehicles, I just choose what I like the look of and see how it performs for me. I liked the look of this setup and it seemed competitive enough, so I've stuck with it ever since as my main, and its grown my affinity towards Link and thus the Zelda series.
